Pros: Excellent written materials and online test preparation Cons: Their real weakness is their instructors
WHY I SIGNED UP FOR THE PRINCETON REVIEW:
Three months ago I had a panic attack. Why? Because I realized that it was already July and I had not started to prepare for the GMAT exam. Most first-round applications are due on the...

Pros: Provides structure to preparation and useful problem solving tips Cons: A focused, disciplined student who is sharp in math and english won't benefit as much
...you are willing to go into the class wanting test taking tips, not necessarily sharpening your math and verbal skills.
The Princeton Review does what it claims to do: It will prepare you for taking the GMAT, period. You will probably...

Pros: Material, class availability Cons: Some instructors are not good teachers. Resolving complaints can prove difficult.
I was looking to apply to an MBA program, so that meant taking the GMAT. I had narrowed my options down to Princeton Review and Kaplan. I chose Princeton Review because my friend had taken their LSAT course and liked their style over Kaplan's. So ...

Pros: Knowledgeable Instructors;
Good Materials; Cons: No Refund Policy;
Inaccurate course descriptions;
Poor expectations;
Poor administration;
After doing some research on how best to prepare for business school, I saw many recommendations to use the Princeton Review or Kaplan to help me prepare for the GMAT. I chose the Princeton Review because it was cheaper and because I used them when I was ...

Pros: Great strategy, really learn the test, irreverent attitude, proven Cons: All teachers are not equal, lots of info crammed into short period of time -- may need to supplement with books
I knew that if my SAT scores were an indication for how well I'd do on the GMAT, I'd better get some professional help. A good friend of mine had been an instructor for The Princeton Review and I trusted his high opinion of their courses. Therefore, I...

Pros: The only pro for PR is their flexible schedule. Cons: Hopeless training materials; pathetic instructors; terrible prep course for the GMAT. Thumbs up MLIC.
I took the Princeton Review course and found it insulting and a waste of my money. Firstly, the company (PR) used instructors who were clueless and were repeating "talking points" no matter what the question was (sort of like politicians). Secondly, ...

Princeton Review GMAT course is horrible!!!
by dchu919 ,Oct 23 '09
Pros: Zero...no pros! Avoid it, no matter what they claim. Cons: A Total rip off! $1,199 dollars as of September 2009.
The instructors are horrible. They barely teach you anything. They make you do all the work yourself and take their pre-made exams that you can buy your the books and work on them yourself. You better off learn it yourself and save yourself $1,199. The tricks (cheats) they show you are all in the books that you can purchase from bookstore. No point wasting your time and money with Princeton Review course.
In addition, you can't get a refund after you attend the 1st session, not even a prorate refund. They don't show you the refund policy when you enroll on their website. The instructor will hand you the agreement and have you sign it whether you agree with the terms/refund policy or not. You stuck with it after you enroll. There's no way you can get out of it. They are a bunch of greedy people at Princeton Review. They just want your money. They totally disregard about service and business ethics.
Recommendation: Don't give your money to Princeton Review!!! Buy your own books and learn it yourself. You'll

Princeton assumes you are good in math
by ron1969 ,Apr 03 '05
Pros: The teacher was a nice guy. The DVD & books are good and useful tools. Cons: Customer service sucks, Princeton tends to ignore conflicts and student concerns.
I would not recommend this course to anyone, unless you have retained most of the math you learned in earlier days. I was sold on the ads: "score higher".. etc. However I was in for a surprised. After shelling out $1100 I was disappointed that I was just there to learn tricks. Do not get me wrong -- if you are good in math, the go for it, but if you need polishing, TAKE A REFRESHER COURSE and THEN TAKE A GMAT PREP COURSE of your choice. They are quick to take your money but they should really ask all that take this class what is their level of math. If your math is weak, then you will be wasting your money because you will not understand.....

worth the money
by wcuevas ,Mar 18 '07
Pros: Excellent professors, worth the money and time but you have to dedicate yourself. Cons: There is alot of work involved but worth it.
I took the princeton review classroom course in January 2007. I have to say that it was what I expected and more. The professor I had was Pawel Slabiak and he was excellent. He was a very clear and helpful instructor and was always available for extra help sessions outside of the regular class times. I was really impressed with the course and the way they go about attacking the GMAT exam. I would deinfintely recommend the course to any aspiring business student. There is a tremendeous amount of homework but it is definitely worth it. I got a 310 on the first exam but with all the help, quizzes and practice CATS, i was able to obtain a 690 on the real exam, more that I needed to gain admission to the college of my choice. My last comment would be, to study hard and you can achieve what ever score you want. I do not consider myself to be a bright person but with princeton review by my side I was able to succeed and feel like I was smart enough the go the Graduate school.
