Pros: Storage space, Size, Price, Functionality, Durability, Support Cons: Storage space (it's never quite enough, is it?), High bit rate files
Remember in The Matrix, when Neo watches Morpheus jump across the building and says "Whoa!"?
That's how I felt when I found the Archos Jukebox 6000.
The Archos is the FOURTH portable MP3 player I've owned since mid 1998. At first,...

Pros: size, price, ease of use (just becomes another hard drive in explorer) Cons: occasional crash, must restart, controls aren't elegant but work fine
you can't beat the amount of music you can carry in such a small unit, it's price, battery life, ease of use (just becomes another hard drive in explorer). I can see how some people would be bothered by the occasional crash when you must restart the unit...

Pros: Beats all the rest on the market. Cons: ummmmm, ummmmmmm ,,, nope i cant really think of any!
The Archos Jukebox 6000 was pretty much revolutionary. It managed to hold 6gb worth of music, and still not be the size of an Egyptian pyramid. However, compared to its main rival, the Creative Nomad Jukebox, it lacked features, and it lacked the cutting...

Pros: 6GB of music in the palm of my hand Cons: Cheap and cheezy silver coating on buttons
This could possibly be the perfect music player. When I reviewed the original Archos Jukebox, I had a lot of complaints about the unit. When I saw this new jukebox+recorder on the market I was skeptical. I picked up the new Archos Recorder because...

Pros: Small, Solid, Huge Capacity, Portable USB Hard Disk Cons: Weak User Interface, Will Skip Unlike Flash Based Players
Often times you'll see a company that does something really well venture into a new product realm and apply their expertise. Well Archos is a French company that manufactures portable PC components aimed at laptops. They've got a terrific portable Hard...

Pros: 6 Amazing and compact gb of music and data storage Cons: No remote control of wired remote.
First of, I love the price of this bad boy. I picked mine up last week and all my friends at work want one because their little 64 and 128 mb does not compete with my Archos 6000. It took me 2 weeks before I decided to go with the Archos over the Nomad...

Pros: Massive storage, durable casing, sound quality. Cons: Battery changing, software, indexing, weight.
I travel two weeks a month and this MP3 thing has me hooked to digital music. So I researched MP3 players extensively on epinions.com and came to the conclusion that the Archos was the way to go. I went to my local Best Buy and sampled the products and...

Pros: Lots of Storage, nice accessories Cons: Heavy, car 12v adaptor only available in kit
Hmmm, Which is it.. a MP3 player or a Portable Hard Drive? Mine gets used for both. I keep about 3 gig of MP3 on it and use the rest for doing a backup of my work daily to bring Work and a copy of work files home.
The Mp3 Player: Great...

Pros: storage size, unique design, battery life (includes 2 sets) Cons: smaller, but not tiny, display / UI should be better, battery life indicator not accurate
I had the nomad and returned it because it really didn't do much for me. chunky, relatively poor battery life, and no double use as a hard drive. It went back after one week, just wasn't worth the money. So, I waited for awhile, and then appeared the...

Pros: Lot's of space for songs
Small, looks cool
Easy to use
Long battery life Cons: You can't make the sound really loud, but it still goes up pretty high.
I've been wanting to buy an MP3 player for a long time but they were always too expensive or had too little memory. Archos Jukebox 6000 has 6GB of space, which is equivalent to 150 CD's or 1500 songs! It's also way more affordable than other MP3...

Pros: Great storage capabilities and easy interface Cons: Somewhat lagging software, playlists are limited
The Jukebox 6000 is a 6GB hard drive based mp3 player made by the computer company Archos. It seems that many of the hard drive based mp3 players that come out are made by computer companies rather than companies that have already created a lot of audio...

Pros: Cool looking, Superfast startup/shutdown, easy firmware upgrade, is a portable HD! Cons: Skips now and then, lacking in Mac support, cheap peripherals, minimal ID3..
This player has the PERFECT size, solid feel, decent playback (though volume could be higher), adequate playlist functions.
Player skips now and then, a bug that the company acknowledges but seems unable to address.
It comes with a pair of...

Pros: size, capacity, sound, gadget factor Cons: no line out, volume adjust, short cable
After having a failed experience with a Yepp mp3 player, I decided to take a step up and go for a jukebox product.
No regrets. The archos came in at the right price, the right size and the right software! At $320 with a $75 mail in rebate, it...

Pros: Storage space, portability and price. Also functions as a portable hard drive. Cons: Poor instructions. A few counter intuitive functions.
After researching several different brands of hard drive mp3 players, a couple factors lead me to purchase the Archos Jukebox 6000. The first factor was price...at around $225(nearly $100 less then the others) it fell within my price range....
