Pros: 40-second Antiskip, Great quality, Fast, ETC! Cons: I don't have any!
I must say, I absolutely LOVE it. I've had it for only a couple of weeks, but the thing is amazing. Before this one, I had a CRAIG with NO Anti-skip, sucked the batteries like crazy, and just didn't sound very good. This was one of the original...

Pros: Durability, Design, Price, Skip Protection, Sound Quality, Plays Burned CD's Cons: None
I have purchased at least a half dozen different CD players in the last 5 years and none would have stood up to this one. Of course, maybe that isn't the most fair of comparisons since technology has been enhanced substantially for portable CD players...

Pros: Great price, great looking, great playback, basically just great! Cons: Cheap headphones...but what's new?
Since I was a nipper I've always bought Panasonic electronics. Every Panasonic product I've bought has been quality, lasted for years and has been reasonably priced. This CD-Player is no exception.
Costing just £50, the SL-SX270 has the basic...

Pros: Lightweight but tough, great sound, beautiful looking player Cons: Small volume control wheel
I have had this CD player from Panasonic for about six months. It has completely lived up to my expectations of Panasonic being probably about the best low-end audio/video equipment on the market. (This was true 20 years ago, when I purchased my first...

Pros: Small, Light weight, Good looks, 40 second anti-shock, CHEAP! Cons: No back-lit display
I had a panasonic SL-S361C which i loved. I paid $89.99 for it. It had 40 second anti-shock memory 2 and had a long battery life as well as excellent sound. I had it for about a year until i accidently dropped it in my pool. I was without a cd player for...

Pros: gets the job done, best bang for your buck Cons: headphones could be better, bass change is not as significant as some players
A while ago, I was presented with a difficult decision- go with the Sony portable cd player that is trusted to perform, or a Panasonic player that costs 20 bucks less?
Since I am writing this review, it is pretty clear which option I chose....

Pros: Great Sound, Cheap, Sexy, 40 Second Antishock Cons: Gets confused and stops playing, but literally apologizes by displaying "SORRY"
I have owned this CD player for more than a year now. It was an extremely good value, because i won it at iwin.com! It came in the mail to me, completely free of charge! But, $70 for this baby is well worth it.
It has very good sound quality...

Pros: Low Price, Good Quality Cons: No Remote, somewhat bulky
I bought this player to replace my old CD player that had only a puny 3 sec anti-shock protection. My old player would skip whenever i walked faster than normal, which was quite bothersome.
I came across this player at Sears when they were...

Pros: Cheap, 40 sec AS, long battery life, compact, many features Cons: Cheap headphones, doesn't play certain CD-R's
Update:I have dropped this thing on hard cement numerous times in the last week. And It Still Works perfectly despite the many, many, gashes.

Pros: Good value, shock-resistance for mild jogging Cons: Tempermental On/Play button, no real battery monitor
They designed it so the same button turns the unit on and puts it in play mode. Press it again and it pauses the playing; A third time to disengage the pause.
That would be OK if the button worked every time, but it doesn't. Sometimes you...

Pros: good price Cons: bad quality. cheap headphones, no radio
this cd player is good for many casual reasons. It plays music, it has some different options. The options are easy to use and the music is easy to hear. The cons of this cd player are that the headphones are cheap. Dont worry about that though because...

Pros: long battery life, 40 second anti-shock memory, reasonable price Cons: my anti-shock doesn't work anymore!
Bought this CD player for jogging. It was working perfectly until a little over a year after owning it. I go jogging 3~4 times a week. Recently, the anti-skip protection has not been working. I have to hold the CD player in a horizontal position for...

Good until the end
by kkris812 ,May 12 '04
Pros: Value Cons: Sound--some songs don't come in too well (on homemade CDs).
I have had this CD player for over 4 years and it is finally dying. After dropping it numerous times over the years, the last drop was its last. (It was a big drop -- off the treadmill, while running, about 4+ feet down.) The skip protection is very good, had only slight problems on a random basis. I'm now researching CD players to replace it and am looking to get another Panasonic since I have had such good luck with this one. Overall, I have enjoyed this CD player and have gotten more than my money worth.

I have had this cd...

I have had this cd player for years and it has never let me down. It has never skipped once. I have dropped this cd player on hard cement multiple times and it still works as good as new. If all you want is a cd player that can play normal cd's then this is the perfect cd player. The only reason I am getting something else is because i want something that can do more things like a minidisk player but otherwise i would have never left this wonderful cd player.
