Pros: Small, records just about anything, great sound quality, the list goes on. Cons: Haven't seen a single problem as long as I have owned it!
Throw out that old cd player and get this great mini disc player. This is top of the line. You can record from cd players, mp3 players, and it has a pc link so you can even take songs off your computer and put them on it.I have had my mini disc...

Pros: Back-lit LCD wired remote, rechargeable battery/adapter, PCLink, much more! Cons: No digital line-out to transfer to computer
As a classical musician, my interest in minidisc recorders began with the idea of being able to record my practice sessions and recitals easily without lots of equipment. After trying out the MZ-R500 (see my other review) I settled on the MZ-R900DPC and...

Pros: ultimate portability. small size. exceptional quality. the future of digital music. Cons: long recording times. eats batteries.
This is the future of digital music. Its small it fits in any pocket. It has reusability like no one's business. Each disc is good for approximately 1000 rerecordings. The discs themselves are cheap as compared to memory for MP3 players. The only...

Pros: Small sleek design, LONG playing time, LONG battery life (40+!!!) Cons: Whole computer connectability, TMARK feature thinks it's too smart.
Hesitating whether I should buy one of that new fangled mp3/cd player, or that 64mb mp3 player, I decided to go look at the "Audio Oddities" of today. That's where I came along this minidisk player. When I asked for information on this unit, I couldn't...

Pros: Size, Battery Life, Quality sound, Lots of Music Cons: If you choose to title each song it is time consuming
First and foremost let me start out by explaining my "need" for some sort of portable music storage device. I purchased a Suzuki Marauder motorcycle (see "Marauder.....Great bike" for more details) a year ago and I have spent 15,500 long miles using a...

Pros: Portability, sound quality, ease of recording, battery life
Cons: Battery Lump, PCLink records in realtime, No LCD on remote
I recently updated to the MZ-R700DPC, after my Sharp MD-MS702 couldn't record anymore, and thank god for those 4 year service plans at Best Buy, because that's how I got my new MZ-R700DPC with an additional 4 year service plan for free. First thing...

Pros: Portability, durability, MDLP, battery life Cons: Pricey (was)
Upon the release of MDLP technology I knew I had to get into the mini disc scene. I chose from the most reliable brands (from experience) and the most affordable price with the options I needed. What I ended up with was the Sony "700" model.

Pros: Battery life, portability, skip free, lightweight Cons: Real time recording, headphones, software
I have recently bought a Sony MZ-R700 to have a portable music player. It is a solid piece of equipment made by Sony, as usual. All of the features you could want are in it; small size, over 20 hours on a single AA size battery, and over 5 hours of music...

Pros: Great sound; Light weight; Ability to store 5 hours of music on one disc! Cons: Not enough memory on disks to store lengthy titles for all tracks
I had just gotten into burning my own CD mixes when I purchased a Sony mini-disc player, and I have not burned a CD since! CD's only hold approximately 76 minutes of music. With mini-disc, you can store up to 5 hours of music on one disc! There's a...
