by dhsplayer11_dt3000 ,Jan 26 '03
Infinity subs are knoown for there combination of SQ and SPL and this is very true. At a bass comp this past summer mine hit 145.9 (2-12" perfect in ported box). They also sounded great but wearn't as loud in a smal sealed box as recommended.

I will never waste my...

I will never waste my money on another Infinity product again. It is a very weak standing sub if you put any sort of power towards it. I had a 12 perfect in the back of my Jimmy in a ported box with a 500 watt RF punch pushing it, and more amps running through my truck powering my components. I than bought a cap to go with the setup to get rid of the annoying headlight dimming. It hit harder and sounded nice but it didn't take 2 days before it smoked up and blew out. I than took it in under warrenty and replaced it in the box and at half volume it seperated out at the papercone on the backside like the glue was bad. I than went through 3 more the same damn way, I even tried a small sealed box. So in my book for such an expensive sub, and suppose the be the better out there it SUCKS. I have a RF now in replace of it and are yet to have a problem.

Bought one Brand New from...
by rikter8_dt3000 ,Apr 06 '02
Bought one Brand New from Crutchfield. Running 2 12" subs (one Kicker S12D, and this sub) off of a Kenwood Excelon 401M amp (approx 1K watts @ 2 ohms). Popped the Infinity Perfect within the week in its sealed enclosure. The cone had separated from the voice coil assembly. It looked as if it wasn't properly glued. First time I have had a sub of this price and "Quality" fail. Replacement sub did the same. May have been a bad production run? So Im giving it a rating of 3.
