Pros: This cordless phone is durable, easy to use, attractive, and inexpensive. Cons: Ringer is a bit loud with no "low" volume control option.
We bought a new house a few weeks ago, so moving gave us the perfect excuse to replace our old and outdated cordless phone. Off to Wal-Mart we went in search of our choice. Because it had been several years since we had purchased a telephone, we had no...
Disappointment after disappointment this cordless phone finally meets the standards set by my family.
Through the years my family has unfortunately had some unpleasant experiences with a number of cordless telephones. After purchasing two high...
Pros: Ok for the price, many good features...when they work. Cons: Seems to "wear" out quickly.

Pros: Cheap - Probably the cheapest Caller-ID cordless out there Cons: You get what you pay for
After first getting Caller-ID service, I was excited to try it out. I bought this phone from Wal-Mart, and it was the cheapest Caller-ID Cordless phone that I saw.
The look and design is fine, although it only seems to come in White. And I...
Pros: Easy to hold, attractive, and compact Cons: Connection has to be careful when placing it on its base. This is very minor problem, all in all.
I have only had this about a month, but so far, I am really happy with it. I like the TALK button being right on the front, (as opposed to the side, which my old one had) Very convenient to dial. I do not have call waiting, but the caller ID shows up...
Pros: call waiting caller id feature Cons: poor customer service
I bought this phone back in February of this year....it has already been replaced!!!!
I originally bought it because of the call waiting - caller id feature, and because it was 900 megahertz.
My beef here isn't so much that my phone konked...
Pros: white colour is nice. all required buttons are present. Cons: died after 3 months. dies suddenly when battery low with little warning. 2nd phone, ditto.
What sherrivonl wrote? Yup. Me, too.
We bought our phone in March 2001. Today (July 1, 2001), we took it back to the store. Thankfully, we'd bought the extended warranty, cause we surely needed it.
Pros: Best sound, durability, attractiveness, features, price of 5 cordless phones I have had. Cons: Some care needed in replacing phone on holder.
I have owned cordless phones from every major manufacturer over the last six years. This one, which I have had for seven months now, is far and away the best of the lot. Poor GE service, especially by phone, is a problem. But this is an attractive...
Pros: All basic functions work well...except for one Cons: Phone dies without warning at the end of batteries charge cycle.
I was excited to find a replacement cordless phone with Caller ID at a great price ($24.95) at Target. This GE phone has every feature I need, and they all seem to function smoothly. For a few days I thought I had recorded a terrific bargain.

Pros: Low cost Cons: Unreliable charging
Multiple phone interference problem
You get what you pay for
Its been awhile since I gave up on this phone. At first I liked it, so I bought another as we use many phones throughout the house. Right after I hooked up the second phone we started having problems. Couldn't answer calls when they came in...phone wouldn't respond. We had to unplug and plug back in to get it to work. This kept happening. It appears that the second phone was somehow interfering with the first. Also, the second one I purchased would not charge properly and wouldn't hold an adequate charge. I had kept the box on the second phone and took it back. I purchased a Panasonic KX-TG2214 and was impressed by it. I bought a second one and they have both worked very well. Even thought they cost more...they are worth the extra money. I have the first GE 26930GE1 collecting dust and will sell it cheap. : )
Wanted a brand name cheaper... by minty_dt3000 ,Jan 13 '03
Wanted a brand name cheaper phone for the basement. GE was always top of the line. Guess someone else is making their products now?
The first phone just died after 1 month. The second phone had a battery overheating problem.(fire hazzard) Third phone lasted a year then the sound started to disappear. Even spent $25.00 on a new battery. Just wasted my money.
Disappointed. You could always count on GE for quality! Now? Maybe it was just this model?
