Great Phone! Now, if only......

by JR-1-OPINION , Dec 03 '00
Pros: Has 2 Lines; Clear Reception; Able to use phone a long distance from base.
Cons: Can't monitor incoming messages from handset.
Six months ago, I decided to purchase "the" phone that was going to make my life much easier! Having owned Panasonic Cordless Phones, twice before, I had confidence in their name, and quality of their products.

The phone I...

poor design

by marcustye , Oct 29 '00
Pros: very few phones have all these features
Cons: quality issue; design
I'm disappointed I bought this. There are problems with the microphones and the programming is a poor design. I speak softly and people literally can't hear me when I use either the speaker phone or the handset, unless I speak quite loudly. The problem...

A BIG disappointment, especially coming from Panasonic!

by 31775 , Dec 07 '00
Pros: Multi-featured, excellent sound quality (excluding below complaint), small footprint on desktop
Cons: Conversation "drop outs", buttons overly sensitive to non-exact positioning of finger contact, short talk- time between charges
The purchase of this 2 Line phone with answering machine was made without much investigation due to the fact that I have owned at least 3-4 previous Pana. cordless phones over many years. In fact, I still actively use an older 2-Line Pana. in a...

Pretty Good

by zephed69 , Apr 15 '00
Pros: Good range, Clear sound, Speakerphone comes in handy
Cons: Handset to small and lightweight,, Can't leave a memo, alot of setup to get it the way you want it(not hard though)
My old phone, an AT&T 5600 was a perfect phone. Sound was great, answering system worked great but age and wear and tear took it's toll. While looking for a new phone (I wanted another AT&T but didn't like what I saw) everyone raved about...

by wb3v , Apr 12 '00
Pros: Very good voice quality, very good range, tough
Cons: minor delays in checking caller ID after listening to messages
Phones have been my toys of choice for many years. I enjoy the newly available sophisticated features and the Panasonic KX-TC1890B has it all!

Usually when I ask a sales person for a two-line digital spread spectrum phone with answering...

Poorly designed phone & poor customer service

by susanbs , Dec 29 '01
Pros: good clarity
Cons: terrible design. Frequent disconnects. No hold button on handset.
I have a similar phone, the KX-TC1750B. It doesn't have the answering machine function, but the design of the rest of the phone is similar.

I am so fed up with this phone and with Panasonic's customer service that I will never buy a Panasonic...

Skip this phone

by slugdugg , Aug 19 '02
Pros: 2 lines, caller id
Cons: Heavy, speakerphone too quiet, no mute button, bad message recording quality
I bought this phone for my home office. I'm sorry I did. The speakerphone is unusable, due to poor sound quality and volume. In addition, there is no mute button, which also renders the speakerphone pretty useless, and makes conference calls tedious...

This phone is just OK.

by captrat , Apr 01 '03
Pros: Great functionality: 2-lines, speaker, answering machine, caller-id, etc...
Cons: Frequently must change channels; resting on shoulder buttons get pressed; sticking button. POOR BATTERY.
This phone has almost all of the options that I wanted in a 2-line phone. I work from my home and use it in my office. Really the only option that I would have liked to see on the phone was a 'mute' button. That would have made it complete. The ...

Bummer

by isayso , Jul 11 '00
Pros: so far none
Cons: didn't work, no temp replacement policy

Based on my high regards fro Panasonic products, I paid $200 for the KX-TC1890B. In addition, I needed reliability. Well, some days you're the statue and some days you're the pigeon and that day I was the statue.

Right out of the box,...

for the money should be better

by juliano , Oct 08 '01
Pros: Attractive, light weight, easy to set up and operate, great pager notification system.
Cons: poor sound quality, number buttons wear out excessively fast
I am a busy family physician who covers for 8 doctors when I'm on call from home. I need a reliable two line phone. From the day we bought this phone the voice quality was poor when compared to our old analog Sony cordless. We drove over 90...

Thumbs Up

by taslucas , Mar 19 '01
Pros: Has all the features you need
Cons: Display on outside of handset
I recently purchased this phone and have been very impressed with it. It was easy to set up and is easy to operate. I do not have any interference on calls, and have not had any problems with the phone needing to be recharged too often.

Panasonic telephone KX-TC1890B Problems
by dwi2245649 ,Aug 24 '05
Pros: Pager call feature
Cons: Lack of manufacturing quality
I have purchased 7 Panasonic phones over the past 9 years, all with answering machine, caller ID and, the most important, pager call feature, which will call my belt-worn pager when a call has been received.
I have been extremely satisfied with all but the last two, both of which are the model KX-TC1890B. Each of these phones, within 3 months, developed severe static and volume control problems. Any phone I purchase will need the pager call feature, but I will not own another one of these.

Very Happy but sad about one major thing
by migoldmusic ,Nov 25 '05
Pros: AMAZING FEATURES HOW sweet the sound!
Cons: Faulty and defective number buttons
Hi! This phone rocks because it lasted me soooooooooooo many years! I also LOVE how the answering machine works digitally. I love the time and day stamp, the ability to have so many features. I used this phone for working at home and was able to plug my headset into the side and have my hands free!

The only bummer is that from the 2nd month I got it, the buttons on the hand held part of the phone (not the base) were fragile and broken. I would press 1, and then 1 would press ITSELF 3 or 5 times! At first it didnt bother me BUT IN AN EMERGENCY OR IN A HURRY....OYE VEY! The 4 button was defective too.

Whoever made this phone...PLEASSSSSE fix this because your phone is a winner otherwise. I love Panasonic phones because they seem to last through tornedos, storms and wear and tear for years.

That's my two cents,
Michelle from Brooklyn, NY

Garbage phone
by jdaubs ,Jan 16 '04
Pros: Sound clarity, range of phone
Cons: very cheaply built
At first we loved this phone. We bought it a couple of months before Christmas. We liked it so much that we bought one for my in-laws. Within a year both phones antennas were broke and the buttons weren't responding when pushed. I have to say though that the sound quality and range of the phone was excellent.
