Pros: Lots of great features that play together the way they should. Cons: No way to disable ringer on just one line; handset mic picks up breathing.
Maybe I'm just picky. It's taken me about two years to find a phone that was good enough to replace my old AT&T two-line phone that is about 10 years old. I wanted just the right mix of features, and finally found them with this GE phone.
Pros: Great looking, high quality look and feel. Great back-lit display that's easy to read. Cons: Design flaws/defects, esp. with call waiting feature which cuts off conversation. Terrible customer service.
This is the first time I've ever taken the time to review anything on Epinions or on any other internet forum, but I feel compelled to do so because this phone's flaws are quite serious. And one of them drives me crazy! I'm hoping someone from GE will r ...
Pros: Looks good, works great, cool shuttle knob. Cons: Makes a slight clicking noise when receiving a call with the ringer is off.
When I went shopping for a corded caller ID phone, I didn’t expect to spend what I ended up spending on this phone. There were other models that had everything I needed but this one looked nicer that those other models and it had lots of other features...
Pros: Good looking phone but more style than substance. Cons: Major functional and caller ID problems.
As a previous reviewer put it: So much potential. So little realized. It looks good, has most features you could wish for, but the software is lousy. The first phone I bought had clicking on the callers voice. This unit was returned and the second one ...
Pros: Wonderfully designed interface and look. Has all the features you're likely to want. Cons: Just a horrible actual phone experience. It's all form an no function.
I've been out of the phone market for quite a long time with regard to a home office phone. The last one I bought was roughly in 1985 and that phone is still working flawlessly (a DuoFone from RadioShack) but of course, lacks all the current features I...
I bought this when I couldn't stand my Panasonic KX-TSC14B anymore. I really can't find a thing wrong with it. Works great with headset, which is the main reason I hated the Panasonic. You won't be disappointed.
This is a decent phone, but the manufacturing quality is very poor. GE's customer service is awful, and I would not recommend buying any of their products.
This phone became useless to me after about 2 years of use. The handset is so buzzy that I can't talk on the phone without a headset. I just spent over 30 minutes trying to get GE to sell me a replacement part, and they don't carry handsets as a part. I've now got to throw out this $80 phone because I can't get a replacement for a $5 easy-swappable part.
Pros: Quality, price, features (intercom would be nice). Cons: can not turn off the beep the buttons make when you push them.
We bought 6 of these for our small business, They are not perfect, but for the money we are very pleased with them. You can not adjust the noise the buttons make when you push them.
Good phone, a little quirky by eneil62 ,Jan 05 '04
Pros: Nice features, works pretty well, good voice quality Cons: Buttons sometimes nonresponsive, difficult to store names in directory
The phone was easy to learn how to use and has a good, solid feel. Voice quality is good, speakerphone is good, everything seems pretty logical.
Quirks: Sometimes when you push certain non-critical buttons (like the directory button, the "menu" button, etc.,) the phone doesn't register the button push. You have to pick up a line and hang up and then the phone will "see" the button push. Entering numbers and names into the directories is very difficult because if you pause while entering the data for more than 3/4 to 2 seconds, the phone exits the "store number" mode, erases what you entered so far, and returns to "ready". How aggravating! You can't change the sound of the ringers for line 1 and line 2.
