Pros: Handset Speakerphone Capability, Feature Laden, Quality Cons: No phone functions on base, perhaps size of handset
One is never enough. It was bound to happen. We could not be appeased with just one cordless handset. How about two or three? The Panasonic KX-TG 2382B delivers two units for a reasonable price. I actually picked up a blister-pack with 3 handsets at...
Pros: Good reception and range, walkie talkie feature, answering machine, name/number memory Cons: None that we have found
While spending the past three years living in a one bedroom apartment, I went without a traditional phone. I did not need one as my cell was the number I used and the other phone was usually hooked up to the internet anyway. However, moving into a home ...
Pros: Nice features, good menu system, includes 2nd handset Cons: sound quality!, antenna too long, no phone on base, no memo button!
My goal was to replace a 900Mhz Vtech cordless phone that we've had for several years and an old tape-based answering machine with a single device. My old cordless still works, but won't hold a charge well, so I was able to use it for sound quality compa ...
Pros: Intuitive design, excellent range,full-featured,2 handsets with backlit screen and buttons Cons: answering machine base has no other phone features on it(not a problem to me)
Up until recently I thought that technology had advanced to the point that one could find a high quality cordless phone relatively easy.Boy was I wrong! For X-mas I purchased a Southwestern Bell phone for my bride to be and it turned out to be the most ...
Pros: Second handset, speaker-phone, headset jack Cons: Not sure about sound quality
I decided it was about time I replaced my old tape recorder answering machine. Before the national Do-Not-Call Registry went into effect, I was getting lots of long and annoying telemarketing messages. The last message would always be the important one ...
Pros: multi handsets, answering machine, phone book in each handset, handset speakerphone, 2.4Mhz Gigarange digital. Panasonic Cons: You name it, it has it. Please check the review :-(
Well, I went for the panasonic name coz I understand they make (or was it made?) good phones. After i returned my KXTG1871 since it started acting funny, i bought this one. Well, went on fine for a few months. Now it has started acting funny. From the beg ...
Pros: Simple to use; has all I need; works very well Cons: Separate on/off buttons, this confuses those not familiar w/the phone; its small size; ear speaker
We have been very happily using a Panasonic TX-TGM240 for almost 3 years, this phone is an excellent cordless, the answering machine isn't the greatest, but you never knew you were on a cordless and the length you could go from the base was quite...
Pros: Ability to call other handsets, no need to wire separate phone jacks for each extension. Cons: Handsets deteriorate rapidly. Clicking noise heard on phone. Loss of connection with main unit.
We purchased this phone about 2 years ago and have been very disappointed in it. The package we purchased included the base handset as well as two extensions. One of the handsets is now very hard to dial on. You have to push very hard on the keys ...
Pros: Nice, soothing ring. expandable, intercom and memories are all good things. Cons: No memo feature, designed to prevent the use of aftermarket headsets.
I bought the KX-TG2382B because my wife liked the "la la la leeee" ring, and I wanted to have a more robust phone system for the house. The KX-TG2382B fit the bill and didn't hurt the bank account. Overall we really like the phone. It works well, and d ...
Best cordless phone out there by epratt ,Jun 22 '05
Pros: All the right features, and it WORKS WELL Cons: Seriously limited choice of ringtones
I could write a long review about why this is such a great phone, but in the end it boils down to two things: it has all the features that you would ever want (or that I want, anyway) and, much more importantly, it works really well!
I have owned Panasonic cordless phones in the past with seriously mixed experiences, but this makes up for all the bad phones they ever made. Call quality is perfect up to a large range; the answering machine is simple and works well; button-feel is just the way I like it: solid but not clunky and sensitive but not delicate; speaker phone is great; multiple handsets work flawlessly. It stores a large call history and placing a call from your call history works every time.
If I had one complaint, it would be that you can only choose from about six different ringtones, all of them a little bizarre. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it.
When we first got the phone, it worked well (about 3 years ago). Then into the 2nd year, it started having issues. The battery life became very short, although we only charged it when it needed to be charged. Also, it has a "move closer to base" error from time to time, even if battery life is good. Can't figure out what causes it. Speakerphone- be careful during a call because it may very well drop your call. Overall, I'm disappointed and would be extremely hesitant to buy another Panasonic phone again. Could just be this model as the other models have good reviews.
Overall phones are real good by monsterskank ,Jul 28 '04
Pros: Good sound quality, 4 way intercom, (no phone needed to communicate through base), price Cons: Misleading battery condition indicator.
Bought the 3 handset- ans-machine/base- 2 extra standalone chargers at a wholesale club in one blister pack for about $150. They work great, from my experience, and I really like the intercom feature. I can be quite far from the base and still speak to my wife inside the house without calling from my cell phone. Every once in awhile, even with 2 out of 3 "battery bars", the speakerphone function will shut down the phone and you will lose your call unless another handset is picked up PRONTO, but I really can't complain about that since I like to run down rechargeable batteries until they are D-E-A-D before I fully recharge them.
Also occasionally I will get the "move closer to base" message, but I also attribute this to the misleading battery condition indicator.
All in all I am pretty happy, I have had way more expensive phones from major manufacturers (not the ones you never heard of) die within a year or two (since when did cordless telephones become disposable)and these are going on 2 years with relatively little quirks.
Disappointed In This Phone. Choose A Different Model! by kaylameg ,Jun 10 '06
Pros: Phone notifies that another phone is in use. Cons: See the above review. The cons outweigh the pros by far.
We have had problems with these two phones and the additional handset that we bought from day one. The phones regularly "die" for no reason, even when the battery indicator says that the phones are half or fully charged. A loud clicking noise occurs for no apparent reason from time to time and it is very annoying. The answering machine makes a loud buzzing background noise, making it difficult or impossible to hear messages that are left. I am very disappointed.
Pros: The base and handsets are fairly stylish, and the answering machine works well. Cons: It is shame that Panasonic would put its name on what is clearly shoddy merchandise.
The once-proud Panasonic brand is no more. I purchased this phone a couple of years ago. I always had occasional problems with a loud clicking sound during conversations; Panasonic tech support was a joke. The keypad on one handset is starting to go now. I paid good money expecting a quality phone set. I feel I was ripped off.
