Pros: Many features, sound quality is excellent! Cons: Takes time to program, don't lose your receipt or your manual!
When I was first in the market for a new phone a year ago, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had no comprehension as to what made a good phone ideal and a bad phone, well, bad.
All I knew was that I wanted a phone that “had it...
Pros: clear, great range, lots of extras Cons: small handset, price
We were in need of a new cordless phone. We had been through two Bell South cordless phones in less than two years. With the help of Epinions, we chose the Panasonic KX-TC1740B cordless phone.
Pros: Great range and battery life. Durable. Many, many features Cons: Small function buttons on handset
We go through cordless phones faster than kids sneakers in our house. At least up until now. In the past three years we have broken/destroyed an AT&T, two Sonys, a GTE and a Uniden. It was time for a change in strategy - so I went for a really...
Pros: Great integrated phone unit - cordless, answering machine, and caller ID combined. Cons: Discontinued product? Panasonic website can not find this product.
If you can find this product anywhere, make sure to check if this product is still in production. The Panasonic website does not list this model at all (click on 'manufacturer's page' link in the 'see more information' page for this product).
Pros: Cordless 900 mHz + base speaker/keypad + digital answering machine + Caller ID all in one unit that is affordably priced that has Panasonic quality. Cons: Difficult to change phone settings, also the on/off button on the handset is too close to your cheek...I hang people up accidently all too often when I lean the phone between my shoulder and cheek.
I have several Panasonic phones over the last several years and they all have served me well. The KXTC1740B is no exception. I previously had a KXT910B or something like that, which was basically their 900Mhz cordless with a base speakerphone and keypad....
I have 4 other Panasonic cordless phones-absolutely love them. Then I bought this one for my home-based business. In short, it is not user friendly. While clarity is flawless when talking on the phone, I need a 2nd opinion on what people are saying on...
Pros: Good Reception and Quality Always, Caller ID on Handset, Durable, Compact Cons: Manual is Needed to Program Phone for Anything, Talk Button Can Easily Be Pressed
Maybe it's called a cordless phone, and maybe it is, but it sure doesn't sound like one. I bought this phone because I needed a decent phone for my second line. I went shopping at Best Buy looking for a decent phone and got much more, for only as much as...
Pros: Clear connection, easy to use, comfortable to use Cons: I can't take the phone with me on the road
This phone has it all, cordless 900MHz quality, caller id, speakerphone and an answering machine. So far, everyone of these features has proven worthy. I have purchased many phones in my time, and this one puts Panasonic on the top of my list, just...
Pros: 900 MHz,Dual keypad, duplex, speaker phone,Digital Answering system,Cost Effective Cons: It doesn't have the DSS & Headset
If you are looking for a cordless phone with almost all features, Panasonic KX-TC 1740B is surely worth taking a look at. This model is not the top of the models Panasonic offers, yet it has got all basic features.
I was looking for a cordless...
Pros: Good range,Charges good and keeps a good charge,Very nice looking, handy caller ID on the headset,Quiet answering machine. Cons: I have found no dislikes.
I bought this PANASONIC phone about seven months ago, well this is my second PANASONIC the first one had a defect and I had to return it,I bought this phone at Best Buy and that is another review. I really liked the phones features so I got the same one...
Pros: Sound Quality, Answering machine, and speaker phone Cons: Battery in phone won't charge. 2 phones found to have this problem
I purchased this phone for my apartment. It had every feature in the book. I found the sound quality to be great and the answering machine/ voice mail worked perfectly. On a fully charged battery the phone could be kept off the base for days and still...
Pros: Very functional, Caller ID, Speakerphone, answering machine Cons: None that I can see
This phone has it all! I waited to buy another cordless phone for many reasons. I had hoped I would find the basic features of the KX-TC1740B, and I truly didn't think you could find an all in one system for under $200.
Pros: caller ID on back side, quality sound, very durable, long range, nice location for talk button, battery, Cons: kinda hard to program, need manual,no support from panasonic, discontinued
My kids break more phones than anybody. I have went through at least 3 phones a year till I got this one. The battery will last for a long time even if left off the hook. It will take a beating and still keep working. The only problem I've had with this...
I have gone thorough 2... by memom_dt3000 ,Mar 03 '03
I have gone thorough 2 of these, except I paid $115.00 for it. It only lasted 1 yr. before the number keys wouldn't work. they replaced it with a refurbished one, which took awhile to do. I paid for the shipping charges..... only to recieve another phone that ended up doing the same as the first.
I will not by another panasonic again!!
At&t and GE seemed to work best... even in service.
