Pros: Good Enough Pics for the money. Cons: Not piles of memory, battery eater.
I use the internet a lot, and frequently folks back home are asking for pictures of the kids and horses and so, not being too tech savvy I had been using traditional film and having the developer also put them on disk for me. Recently, when wandering...

Pros: Price, Ease of Use Cons: Small Starter Storage, Avg. Picture Quality, Flaky Zoom
The Kodak DC3200, is a great place to start in the realm of digital cameras. The low end price point is very nice and exactly why I picked this model. Getting started was quick, the menu layout is simple and easy to understand.
The overall picture...

Pros: Excellent price, very easy to use with a great menu setup on the camera Cons: no AC adapter, no case to protect lens, only 2 MB to store pictures
I needed a camera for everyday life things so I went out and bought a Kodak 3200. After looking at in the store I was pretty impressed at what I got for the price I paid. It has a digital 1.6” LCD screen on the back that isn't on most camera's for this...

Pros: Excellent bottom end camera, easy to operate, good pics too. Cons: Mine is under the Vivitar brand name ,but the same camera !
I wrote a review on a HP digital 1.3 megapixels that failed me a day before my vacation . Finally in order to have a working camera I took the HP back to Walmart . It was past the 90 day return but they gladly exchanged the camera for the...

Excellent Choice for Beginner
by valjon455 ,Dec 04 '03
Pros: Ease of use, price. Cons: Limited to 64MB flash cards and below.
I purchased this camera at auction for about $50. It felt really light (and cheap) before installing batteries, but solid after. It was simple to operate, and instructions easily explained. I found the photo quality excellent, and software and driver installation was flawless. I definitely recommend this camera for the uninitiated!

Great Digital Camera For Beginners
by samuelf1966 ,Dec 26 '03
Pros: EASY TO USE - CHEAP CAMERA FOR BEGINNERS GETTING INTO DIGITAL PICS Cons: EATS BATTERIES FOR BREAKFAST MUST USE REGARGABLES AND CHARGER.
If your looking for an Easy to use Point and Shoot that takes good pictures, Then this is a great camera For anyone learning about taking digital pictures.
There are a few caveats before you buy this camera.
First:What you Must buy is a battery charger and regargables as this puppy burns through batteries faster than anything I've seen.
Second: Don't expect to take any shots with any movement as they will come out blurry. You must hold camera still too as there is no tripod holes or mounts.
Another frustration is you must be beyond 5 feet when using flash or it will overexpose subject making pictures too bright.
You can get this camera on E-BAY FOR UNDER 100.00 as it was discontinued by Kodak but a winner for the price.

I love this camera! It...
by tamim_dt3000 ,Apr 14 '02
I love this camera! It is a great starter camera for the novice photographer wanting to take the digital leap. It takes great pictures inside and out. It is light and easy to carry. It doesn't look fancy, but it takes great pictures. I found the picture quality to be excellent as well. The serail port adapter is slow downloading, but the software included with the camera can be set at a higher transfer rate to allow a more acceptable download time. I only found one instance where the camera fails to adjust itself properly, and that is only happens in a brightly lite room indoors. The automatic flash does not adjust itself, at night in brightly lite rooms, so I have learned to turn the automatic flash off first. This seems to work in most instances. The key is to view the picture on the dispaly. If it looks too vivid on the display, turn the auto flash off and take another picture and compare the two. The other will be more intune with the lighting.

by gmlasam_dt3000 ,Dec 25 '02
I gave this camera as a Christmas present, and when it was opened and tried out on Christmas day, I was very surprised how the pictures came out. They were clear, bright and sharp!!! I was so pleased with the results, I decided to go back to the store and purchase another one for myself.
I would recomend purchasing rechargable batteries and charger set and at least a 64mb compact flash along with this fine camera.
I woulr highly recommend this camera for starters.

for the money I get a great little camera that does what I want it to do. Yes you have to read your book but then it only smart to do that with anything that you buy. And it is the only camera that I have tried that it works with my computer with out a hitch. It also takes as good a picture as far as I can see as my brothers 2.2 mega pixel. I would recommend this camera to anyone.

by tone_loke_dt3000 ,Aug 05 '02
You will have pictures on your PC 10 minutes after opening the box. This camera is great if your looking to get your pictures on line. The quality is good outdoors. If you plan to take outdoor shots only at a good price, this camera is great. The memory on best quality only holds 5-7 pictures. If you plant to take indoor pictures, forget it! Faces wash out badly indoors.

For the price of this camera, it is an excellent buy. The quality of the pictures is as good or better as some more expensive cameras.
As with any camera, the pictures can be adjusted in many ways depending on the program used to modify the pics.
I am very happy with the camera and am glad I didn't spend more money on another one.
Good buy.

Great quality pics in lowest quality mode. took some pics of dog next door while in low mode, action shots came out very clear. Even when enlarged to 5x7.
In low mode and an 8meg card can take 90 pics.
In high mode 20 pics.

This camera is one of the best I have ever seen for the price it's at. It's a small camera, very portable. The LCD is very useful for taking good pictures, and I really like the 2x digital zoom. This is a great camera to give to your kid. Trust me, they'll have fun with it. Also, you can delete any bad pictures. That's great for amatuer photographers!!!

by eskimojoe_dt3000 ,Sep 07 '02
this is a great camera for its price. it is one of the most durable cameras that I have ever seen. both my friend and my brother own one, and between the two of them this camera has been thrown 20 feet onto a cement sidewalk, thrown down a flight of stairs, dropped from various hights, and has been used in just about every situation, except underwater. it takes great pictures and the 2x zoom is convenient. Overall, this is a great camera that I recommend for anybody who wants an affordable, easy to use camera, especially for someone who is always breaking their camera.
