Pros: Image stabilization. 10x zoom eliminates penalty of 2.1 megapixels. Cons: Only uses Smart Media and this Camera model is getting hard to find.
Summary: I spent a lot of time researching my camera purchase and was hesitant to buy a unit that was already "old" by today's standards. However, the multitude of reviews you see for this camera are right, it is a great camera.

Pros: Easy to use; lots of bells/whistles Cons: Heavy, bulky
Summary: It IS discontinued. CompUSA has been dumping them at $499. Saw it at Sams recently for less I believe. So, not many left on market, if you see one. SNAP IT UP! True, it might not be a BEGINNERS model, but if you have a background w/ Manual or Semi-Auto ... read more

Pros: Versatile, adaptive, and more than adequate Cons: Fragile plastic posts serve as insert hinges on battery compartment & media
Summary: The Olympus C-2100 Ultra Zoom was NOT my first choice when I went to the store. I listened to the sales pitch with half a heart as I've been around sales fever all my life. But the very first picture I printed [I have laser color printer] 8 X 10 I nearly ... read more

Pros: Easy use, long zoom lens, great quality pictures Cons: A few minor tradeoffs
Summary: After a lifetime of shooting pictures on film, I bought this camera. My main reasons were its long 10x zoom (27x digital) and the fact that it feels like a real camera. Since then, I have been amazed at what the camera can do. It's easy to simply point ... read more

Pros: Great pictures, pretty good storage media. Cons: Placement of a couple knobs could be better.
Summary: I've had this camera for a year or maybe a little less. I've gotten TONS of great shots with it.
Obviously the 8 mg smartmedia that comes with it is useless. I normally have a 64 mg stick in, which works great (approx. 120 pictures). I have ... read more

Pros: Relatively compact compared to an SLR with similar zoom features Cons: Auto white balance is off much of the time when shooting indoors. Lame software program.
Summary: The big draw for me to this particular camera was the zoom capability. It is one of the fewer cameras on the market with a 10X OPTICAL zoom. I owned a Canon EOS ELAN II with a 28-70 and a 70-210 zoom lenses. My new Olympus replaced the Canon.

Pros: Awesome 10x zoom, image stabilizer, 2.1Mega Pixels, good flash, quicktime movies. Cons: Includes only 8Mb card. Too many features.
Summary: This camera is amazing. Especially because it's only a 2.1 mega-pixel camera. But with the 10x zoom, you realize that being able to use all of the 2.1 Mega pixels by correct zoom framing still leads to great pictures. The C-2100 has lots of features ... read more
