Pros: Inexpensive, Easy to Use, USB/PC Interface Quick and Easy Cons: Not many visual features, Need higher capacity memory sticks for hi-res shots
I have always wanted a digital camera, but did not want to spend a ton of money for good quality and basic options. I purchased the DSC-S30 at a local HH Gregg and was taking pictures (with AC Adapter) within 15 minutes of taking it our of the box.

Pros: MemoryStick format, USB connection, menu is easy to navigate, bright 2" LCD Cons: lack of viewfinder, hard to take pictures of moving objects
First of all, lets start out with basic specs:
1.3 Megapixels
4MB Memorystick (expandable up to 64MB)
2" LCD screen
6x Digital Zoom
3x Optical Zoom
Physically, I found the camera to be pretty good sized. It's...

Pros: size, ease of use, battery life Cons: bright sun pics, black sky moon pics
I was lucky enough to receive this little gem as a gift just before we went on vacation last fall to Mystic, CT. Unfortunately, three hours out of the box, the power off/on switch broke. Of course the internet dealer wouldn't take it back, so it was...

Pros: Great Compact Design, Good Color, Simple Management, Expandable Memory Cons: Small Factory Installed Media Stick, Asking price high
I purchased a DSC-S30 from Sears before my family took a trip to Disney World. I had been contemplating a digital camera purchase for a few years, and watched as my friends and family bought everything from Visor Eyemodules to Olympus Digital cameras....

Pros: Good image quality. Large number of creative controls. Swiveling LCD monitor. Cons: No optical viewfinder. 4MB memory stick is too small.
This is my second digital camera. Coming from a purely point-and-shoot model with no creative controls whatsoever, this was a welcome change.
In addition to a point-and-shoot mode, there are two programmed AE modes: aperture priority and...

Pros: Good picture quality
Good battery life
Easy to use Cons: A bit bulky
This was our 1st digital camera and we spent $500 on it about 3 years ago. At the time I figured that all 1.3 megapixel camera's were the same until I saw some shots from a friends D-Link. Only with full outdoor lighting was the D-Link able to ...

Pros: Convenient size, zoom Cons: Indoor exposure, Needs better manual for optional settings,
I purchased this camera after returning a less expensive Polariod Digital Camera. My experience with this camera isn't nearly as positive as others who have reviewed it. My anticipation was that I'd have sharp, quickly usable photographs. I found the...

Pros: Extremely perfect quality, lots of great features, perfect for e-mailing Cons: Takes a little more time than usual to take a picture and to get used to using the camera.
I was looking forward to buying an Olympus, but I saw the S30 and I thought it would be very nice to have. It seemed to have more functions and quality than the Olympus I was looking for. I tried it a few times, and I put some pictures on my computer....

Pros: good zoom, good picture quality, cheap, good storage Cons: uses batteries fast, low light is crummy
This was probably the best $450 I've spent in my life. The camera was only $300 plus tax, but the extra expenses made the camera worth while.
This camera has all the advantages of a digital camera: not waiting to see how the pictures...

Pros: great image quality Cons: comes with only 4mb memory stick
The color on the Sony are deep, rich and more lively than the Olympus, plus you can never go wrong with a zoom! The Sony offers 3X optical & 6X digital zoom. Some say digital zoom suffers in quality but I've had nothing but great results with mine....

Pros: Fantastic pictures, easy to use, small, holds many pics Cons: Tiny print on the instruction booklet
I had experience with a cheaper digital camera before I bought my Sony. It was easy to operate but took less that average pictures. I am not a technical whiz and did not want a camera that needed a rocket scientist to operate it. The very first day I...

Pros: ease of use Cons: LCD screen in dim light
I was searching around for a digital camera for a few months and I finally decided on the Sony DSC S30 rather than similarly priced cameras.
Reasons for buying the camera:
1. Cool LCD screen
2. USB port
3. Ease of use
4....

Pros: compact, easy to use Cons: none
I bought this camera to take pictures of really tiny objects such as jewelry for my website. It was complete luck that I ran into this little one, because I knew absolutely nothing about digital cameras, but this was $400 well spent. The clarity of the...
