Pros: Rugged, all weather camera, water resistant to a depth of 33 ft. Cons: Takes poor underwater pictures!!
With our impending trip to Australia and The Great Barrier Reef, my one Christmas wish last year was a decent camera for underwater pictures. Having taken plenty of pictures with disposable underwater cameras in the past, I wasn't too keen to repeat the...
Pros: simple to operate, easy to load and unload, underwater--all weather feature Cons: must remember to turn on and off.
Several years ago my husband surprised me, big time, on my birthday. He bought me a camera!!!!!!! Not just any camera, but a Minolta Weathermatic. I was a bit surprised at this gift since I am not an underwater type of person, but I have come to...
Pros: Perfect Pictures Above AND Below Water! Cons: Absolutely None
Buy this camera to function as your primary one, not just because it is weatherproof! It will knock your socks off. I promise, you won't be disappointed!
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Being that it is watertight, this camera has...
Pros: easy to load and operate, good quality photos Cons: Limited creativity
I originally bought the weathermatic for my wife, after a day at the Jersey shore. A few grains of sand got into her old camera ruining it.
I thought if this camera is waterproof, no way can sand get inside. That was about 5 years ago. The camera...
Pros: It does what it was design for Cons: You do need a tripod if you take the camera out of auto
I've taken this camera snow skiing, white water rafting, back packing, rock climbing, weddings, family and school functions and it has taken good pictures for me as long as I keep it in auto mode. When my wife look at the same pictures she had said that...
Pros: Very durable, waterproof, & good picture quality. Cons: no mid roll film change options, limited zoom.
This camera is tough, I've taking it surfing(actually w/me in the water on my board), snowboarding, snorkeling, and to the Glamis dunes. This camera has never failed me once in the 4 + years I've had it. Although I do wish there was version of this...
Pros: Easy to use, auto focus is awesome! Compact, fits in your pocket. Cons: Remembering where the focus lines are underwater. Once you do that, you are set!
This camera takes awesome underwater and above water pictures! It beats Sea and Sea all the way. With 7 rolls of film taken while diving in Bonaire, we had over 100 pictures to brag about!
It can go much deeper than 10m. I accidentally took it to 100ft and it still works great! The zoom is good and I like having the APS for different sized pictures. Panos of the reef are awesome!
The flash is strong but next time we will add an external strobe for even better color. I know that by doing that we'll have more pictures to show off! Our friends with the Sea and Sea only had 10 pictures that turned out and took as many pictures as we did.
We use this camera for our everyday pictures as well and they all look great!
I have taken so many great photos with this camera. My trip to Hawaii, I used 42 rolls of film. Even the night portrait mode works great. I have not used it under water yet though. But it has taken wonderful photos in the rain! This camera is a lot of fun.
