I'll start by saying that if you're looking for that perfect, classical concert crisp sound, the Koss R-10s are not for you.

i bought these about 2 weeks ago and i like them. they are really good and are very comfortable. They are pretty durable and have average sound quality. I think they are great for the price. I chose these because I wanted a good pair of headphones for a low price and if that;s what you are looking for then get these you will love them.

Pros: Great sound, very balanced between lows and highs, detailed. Comfortable when just sitting down.
Cons: flimsy, not durable. Cord loose into drivers. can become uncomfortable after lengthy wearing period.

I bought these headphones close on two years ago now. I originally purchased them to use while practicing on my piano (which has headphone jacks) to stop people getting angry at me late at night. However, at the time, they were the only good quality pair of headphones i had, so i started wearing them quite a bit for regular music listening.
Among other things, i often also wore them to bed to drift off to sleep with some music. Due to the framework and obvious lack of durability this would turn out to be a bad idea, but i was only 12 at the time, so who could blame me??
Anyway, bottom line is, i was really pleased with the sound quality and comfort of these phones when just sitting around and listening, but the range of use these things have is very limited and, with my rather rugged lifestyle, i did end up breaking the flimsy frame in several places! (now sent away for warranty repair).

Pros: light weight and very good sound, ear pads are very soft and comfortable
Cons: hard plastic head band gets uncomfortable with extended use

These are my second pair of Koss headphones. It has be so long now that I have forgotten the model of the first set.

i bought the r/10's as a replacement to the first set i had, which were stolen.

The r/10 is a very nice set of headphones for the money, probably better than average to excellent sound for the money. i paid somewhere in the $30 range. i wasn't going to pay too much for a set of headphones i used at the office...well i like these so much they are put under lock and key nightly.

the only negative comment i have is the very hard plastic headband on this unit, after a few hours of listening, no where on your head is comfortable. i have however made a slight design change and cut a piece of 1/2" foam mounted it with 3 pieces of double sided tape on the bottom side of the headband, and man i can keep these things on my head all day!!
