Pioneer PD-F908 File-Type Compact Disc Player I have been slowly overhauling my home entertainment system and decided it was time to upgrade my compact disc player. My new A/V receiver doesn't have the capability of connecting via remote to my ...
Pros: Holds a lot of CDs, good sound, plays CD-R's. Cons: Can't daisy chain with another jukebox.
I have always found Pioneer products work well. This one is no exception. I bought this player specifically to hold the CD-R's that I recorded (using a PDR555RW) in order to get rid of my large collection of records. The recorded CD-Rs all play...
Pros: Perfect match w/Pioneer VSX-D710S receiver, it's a home juke box, power button on remote Cons: none...I like it
I never cared much for high-capacity CD changers for some reason. I guess I always thought they would be too much trouble, unreliable, or maybe just a waste of money. I was wrong. I didn't realize what I was missing until my wife and I sat for at...
Pros: Price, reputable Pioneer name, quality. Cons: Not so great remote. But at this price, who cares?

the Pioneer PD-F908 is a solid cd player for those who dont want to spend a lot of cash on a carousel cd player. It had many features, but not so many that you need a separate owner's manual for the remote control. The sliding entry door is convenient and it opens up to the single CD slot if you want. Both features save the extra work of finding a slot to play a disc that's not already in the machine. It's not too big nor too heavy and is a cinch to set up. It could use some more characters when naming the CD's but that's a minor detail because it also reads the titles of those CDs that have it embedded in the code of the disc. Most importantly, savings on this component allow you to put more $$$ towards the receiver and speakers, which will make you enjoy the CD changer all the more.
