Pros: Easy to use, inexpensive, viewfinder (with option to turn off), great customer service Cons: Battery life, picture resolution, lighting problems, sturdiness of camera
The Vivitar Vivicam 2700 is a good camera for beginners on a budget, but will disappoint more experienced users. And unless you invest in an a/c adapter, you better buy stock in Energizer... because those batteries just keep going, and going, and...
Pros: inexpensive, nice LCD display with decent options Cons: poorly made, eats batteries, pictures are not always the right color
I have owned a Vivitar 2700N camera now for about 10 months. At first I thought that this was a decent deal. I paid about $160.00 for the camera and at that time I thought that I had made a good decision.
Being limited on the amount of cash available to spend on a digital camera, the price on the Vivitar 2700 convinced me that this is what a beginner needed to begin digital photography. The camera is lightweight and easy to use, however every time you...
Pros: NONE Cons: Poor Picture, cheaply made, not reliable, high battery drain
This was my first digital camera, and considering all of my problems with it, nearly my last. I primarily bought this to use for auction photos, and did not expect a high quality picture. I did however expect some reliability from it. Within 30 days, the...
Pros: Good price, fairly easy to use and upload pic's to the computer, has LCD screen for viewing photos Cons: Poor picture quality, large and bulky camera, disposes of batteries in a flash
I have been waiting on this camera from Onsale (Egghead) for weeks, it got lost at UPS but now I wish it would have just stayed "lost"! Overall, my rating for this camera is fair-poor.
Pros: Not too expensive Cons: Cheaply Made, VERY POOR CONSUMER SUPPORT, expensive to use because of batteries, not reliable
For many months I longed to purchase a digital camera. After shopping around, I chose the Vivitar 2700 because it appeared to take a decent picture and was priced affordably. I found out shortly thereafter that I made a huge mistake.
Pros: low cost Cons: breaks after two months, not durable as expected, turned out to be a heap of junk
This was the worst thing I have ever decided to buy. I really wanted a digital camera so that I can put my pictures on the computer and email to friends. I shopped around and looked at various digital camera but a lot were out of my price range. I saw...
Pros: Great Digital Camera for beginners. Cons: A real battery eater!
I am not a camera expert and do not claim to be. I have never owned a "good" camera in my life. But I decided that I just had to have a digital camera so that I could easily email photos to family members in other states.
I ran across my...
If you want a cheap camera that won't advance the film leading to exposed rolls and ruined memories, then this is the camera for you.
I wanted to buy an inexpensive camera that was simple to operate and cheap enough that I didn't have to worry about...
Pros: easy to use, software easy to install Cons: no a/c adapter, eats batteries, doesn't last long
A few years ago my parents bought me a 2700 Vivitar Digital Camera. I was thrilled to recieve it. I did my best to take care of it. But soon the battery door wouldn't close right to make contact with the batteries. My dad glued the metal battery part...
Pros: Cheap, digital, simple to use Cons: Bad quality pictures, very battery-hungry
My Vivitar 2700 is now broken - the battery door is gone, and the display is cracked - but I can honestly say I don't miss it much. I bought it at an online auction for about $100, so it didn't set me back much, but I was also very disappointed with it....
Pros: price & style Cons: This Vivitar is the worst possible quality
I thought Vivitar was a good brand, so blamed myself for the battery usage and the battery compartment door that broke just a couple of mos. after I got the camera as a gift. It took me several months of emailing and calling, then finally just returning...
Pros: Good digital camera for the price paid. Cons: Would have been nice to have an adapter included.
I have owned my Vivitar 2700 for 19 months and had very little problems
with it. True, it does eat standard batteries quickly, but I went to the rechargeable type and can get 50-80 standard pics from one set. I usually carry two extra sets for it...
Stay Away From This Piece Of Junk Camera by jcampbell1 ,Apr 28 '06
Pros: None Cons: Everything
I bought a Vivitar ViviCam 2700 because I was in a hurry to get a digital camera because it seemed to be the thing to do at the time, and this camera was inexpensive.
I truly got what I paid for. This thing eats batteries like an elephant eats peanuts. The pictures are grainy and blurry, the flash only works randomly and it has been a colossal disappointment.
I thought about putting this thing on e-bay for sale, but the cost of shipping this piece of junk would be more than I could get for it.
If it was a little heavier, it could make a door stop. Mine is going in the trash can and out to the city landfill.
