Pros: ease of operation, feature set, and price Cons: autofocus cycling is a bit slow
The Canon Powershot Pro 70 digital camera, like the much more expensive Nikon D1, has more in common with it's 35mm cousins than with it's digital brothers and sisters. The Pro 70 bears a strong family resemblance to the EOS cameras in both appearance...
Pros: Quality shots/2 compactflash slots Cons: Only 2.5 Zoom
I decided to purchase a digital camera for business/personal purposes. I build custom decks and figured that it would be easier to e-mail picture's of my work to potential customer's rather than driving to their house. Not to mention the ability to send...
Pros: long battery, wide angle zoom, external flash hotshoe on-board the camera, excellent lens Cons: lacks manual controls, less popular, bulky if used without a flash
After reading reviews about both the Canon Pro70 (Pro70) and the Nikon Coolpix 950 (950), then doing my own research for 2+ weeks, I decided to go with the Pro70 ... and very satisfied with my decision.
Pros: PRICE BREAK because the Pro70 is not cutting edge. Microdrive ready. Cons: A bit heavy. Small 8m flash card included. It could have been a 16m!
The Pro70 is my first digital camera. Why did I buy it? The price was right at $600 Canadian. (I think that's about $400 US.)(?) I wanted to get my photos easily onto my computer for editing and printing. I spent several hours reading reviews on the...
In Automatic mode this camera takes photos at 1536 x 1024 in either high or low quality. In Program mode you can also take photos at 768 x 512 again at high and low resolutions as well as high and low quality. The 8MB CF card holds around 60-80 low-res...
So, this camera is a bit long in the tooth at this point but I went and bought it anyway about 6 months ago, used on EBay. One knock on the camera if the serial port download of pictures but I use a laptop PCMCIA card and downloads are a snap. If you...
I have used loads of other types of digital cameras before, amongst them the Olympus 600L, Nikon 900S and Kodak 260. And drawing from my experience I can truly say: "this camera cannot be surpassed!". It looks really good and the ergonomics are...
Pros: Photo Quality, LCD Flip-out Screen Cons: Autofocus Time, Lens Cap
The Powershot Pro70 has been a very reliable camera for me. I first received this camera in April of 1999. Since then I have taken around 6000 photos. This being my first digital camera, I can tell you that it is wonderful not being under the burden...
All right, I admit....I have had a bad history with Canon products. The 3 printers I have bought from them, well....the first one was broken before I bought it, the second one was dropped during delivery, and the third one was missing the laser part!!!...
Pros: Great Resolution - Needs a Little Improvement Cons: autofocus takes too long
Despite the name, the Pro 70 is a advanced consumer-level camera, rather than a professional digicam. The camera overall is fantastic. It holds two memory cards and has a quickly recharging battery. It also comes with lots of helpful accessories. The...
Pros: Close up shots. Cons: Distance shots, large and bulky.
This is a good digital camera, but in my opinion not at the top of the heap. I owned this camera for 6 months before I sold it. My experience was for shots at close range the Pro 70 was excellent. However for distance shots I found not enough resolution...
This camera has the best reselution yet. I use it all the time. I take a lot of pictures in my buisness and i couldn't cahnge to digital until this camera came out. Its resolution is unmatched by any other camera it has many fuctions. I let my freind...
This was a great camera... by hislife_dt3000 ,Aug 13 '02
This was a great camera in its time. Picture quality is excelent. I took many low-light pix with great success even without a flash. Zoom was adequate. You will love the ease of use. It feels like a typical SLR in your hands. However, it is old school. If you want the best, buy the Pro 90.
