  • I've seen better (pun intended).

    Apr 04 '00
    Pros: software is pretty good
Cons: eats up batteries like they're going out of style, not much space

Summary: This camera reminds me of a pack of prepackaged cookies that get stuck in the vending machine, in a world full of freshly baked apple pies straight out of the oven.

To get to the topic, I've seen cameras that were a lot better for the price....

  • Good "first-wave" digital camera

    Jul 27 '01
Pros: Easy to use, lightweight, portable, output to PC & TV, more options
Cons: "Blue wash" when taking pictures in bright sunlight, serial connection

Summary: When a friend wanted to get a better digital camera, he sold the QV-100 to me for $170, and I became an avid shutterbug. The things that really add to the camera are:
the Delete button - lets you delete a "bad" picture so it doesn't take up space....

  • Past its time

    Nov 13 '00
    Pros: Cheap, simple.
Cons: No zoom, no flash, bad viewfinder, old.

Summary: This was the first digital camera I bought (1997) - and it was cheap for a digicam then, a snip at GBP499 (USD750ish). Although I knew it wasn't a replacement for a 35mm, 1-hour processing shop and a scanner, I had hoped to use it to take photos for the...

    Sep 22 '00
    Pros: Too many see review
Cons: No Flash-Slow refresh-No External memory and only serial download.

Summary: Although this camera is old I just had to write a review on it. It has been a very dependable unit for me for many years and deserves some credit. This camera was ahead of its time. It has features thatmany digital cameras of today do not have !!!

  • Great for HTML Web Page Imaging!

    Aug 05 '00
Pros: Great for Tripod shots of items to auction off
Cons: High Battery Drainage/Design of Carrying Case at On/Off Switch

Summary: About two years ago, I caught the eBay bug. In order to market my items in auction, I needed an affordable digital camera that would allow me to post my pictures in a .jpeg format. At that time, I knew nothing about digital cameras. Being quite active on...

  • Stay Away From This

    Jun 26 '00
    Pros: Rotating "eye", Lightweight
Cons: No removable media, No flash, Low resolutions

Summary: When I bought this camera 2 years ago, I might have been able to recommend it. It has some good points, but they are totally outweighed by the bad.

First the good stuff. The camera has a rotatable "eye" that can be rotated to take...

  • Well made

    Dec 12 '99
    Pros: easy to use
Cons: only works in bright light

Summary: I bought this camera, because I knew the name Casio to be a good brand name, and in this I was not disappointed the camera was easy to make work and took good quality pictures the only thing I did not like about it was that it used up the four double A's...

  • Good starter camera

    Nov 15 '99
Pros: Good starter camera, low price
    Cons: Missing so many features

Summary: This was the first type of digital camera we had. We bought it based on price... It was under $200 and it worked for getting us started in the world of digital photography.

It takes the pictures and holds almost 100 pictures in it. But the...
