This is the best camera I've ever owned

by rivergater , Jan 11 '04
Pros: Excellent Lens, fast and sharp. Portable and Rugged Inexpensive for what you get.
Cons: No manual controls
I've own two SLRs, two digital cameras, and two point and shoot cameras but the Olympus Epic Stylus DLX has given me the best results out of them all. Its definitely not the best camera I own but it has a great lens, is durable, and is very portable. I ...

Good compact 35mm point and shoot - not magical though

by afhouston , Dec 30 '03
Pros: Solid build, small, high-quality photo system
Cons: autofocus can be unpredictable sometimes, not digital?
I must have read 70 reviews on this camera from different photography websites recommending this camera. A friend of mine whose hobby is photography highly recommended this. I needed a camera for some time. I know digital camera's are on the market, ...

Olympus Stylus Camera

by rosotho , Dec 11 '02
Pros: It has an amazing zoom ability.
Cons: Its a heavy camera.
The Olympus Stylus Zoom 115 QD 35mm Point & shoot/ Zoom camera is a very good camera. It is perfect if yourlooking for a camera that has quality. The best part about it is the zoom. It can go from 35mm to 115mm, which is pretty far. The price is very...

Olympus Epic QD DLX

by robtimm , Aug 15 '02
Pros: Awesome glass lens, fits in pocket, long lasting battery
Cons: I can't think of any
I had been taking pictures with an Olympus OM-1 since it came out in the early 80's. I wanted something that would be easier to carry around with kids in the picture. The picture quality with the glass lens is amazing. Don't listen to the whiners...

Nice BUT

by aprest , Jul 07 '02
Pros: size, weight, and f/2.8 lens
Cons: Very poor reliability.
I have owned over fifteen Olympus cameras (from an OM-1 SLR to a 2040 digital camera)over the last thirty years and this is the first Olympus camera to disappoint me. I bought my first Olympus Stylus Epic Deluxe about two years ago because of its size,...

Throw away camera?

by matriarch47 , Jun 08 '02
Pros: Small and light. Satisfactory pictures. Easy to use. Zoom.
Cons: Poor quality construction. Short lifetime.
The camera died after about 14 months (just after the warranty ran out!) and it would cost $125 to repair it. Since I paid $189 for the camera, I will buy a new one before I will pay $125 to repair this one. This camera was too costly to last such a...

Capturing Colin's Moments With My Olympus Stylus Zoom 115

by KMINER Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Jan 16 '02
Pros: Red Eye Flash
Cons: None for this family
I have never owned a camera - unless you count those Kodak disposable ones. Never asked for one as a gift, never felt I needed one. What have I got that I want to take pictures of so badly that would justify spending a few hundred dollars on?

Best selling point & shoot for a reason

by writer13 , Jul 30 '01
Pros: A very user-friendly point & shoot.
Cons: I have seen a lot of 115's needing repair.
At the moment, Olympus is the top selling company when it comes to 35mm point and shoot cameras. I sell photography equipment and have seen this first-hand. But it seems that the Olympus Stylus Zoom 115 wasn't untouched by flaws.

First of...

Super camera that's light on weight and your wallet

by wakiz , Apr 28 '01
Pros: Small, lightweight, lots of functions, panoramic mode
Cons: Closing the film compartment can feel funny
I purchased the deluxe version of this camera. The difference between the regular version is the panoramic mode, and the dating function as far as I can tell.

It's posh and different from other cameras with its slide open design and gold /...

I take this everywhere

by rambunctious , Mar 03 '01
Pros: Great pics, reliable, good battery life
Cons: Awkward shutter release logistic, window to film compartment fell out of the camera back
I've taken my little mju (what this model is called in Australia) everywhere since i bought it. It fits neatly in my jeans pocket, and doesn't seem to object to the environment. The sliding cover is robust and functional. (unlike many other of its class)...

Are DIGITAL Cameras Overhyped? A POSITIVE solution from Olympus

by Ed.Williamson Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Feb 28 '01
Pros: Tough, capable performer from a long family line of excellent cameras.
Cons: Image quality not quite as museum-quality-good as the more expensive units.
Ok, here I go again, swimming against the tide of computer-world wisdom and lore and expertise and history. Call me an iconoclast...or worse. Yes, I am definitely going against the grain of something. Maybe just the tide of marketing. Or should I...

Mighty Mite: The Olympus (Stylin') Stylus

by flak-attak , Feb 15 '01
Pros: Very Portable, Lightweight, Good Picture Quality.
Cons: Fully auto; no zoom.
They had come north, way north, to Alaska in search of high adventure, yet on a lowly and noble mission to raise their children apart from the influences of city life while preaching the gospel as missionary to stalwart neighbors. At both pursuits they...

A great camera at a great price!

by professor101 , Jan 19 '01
Pros: Excellent color, easy to use, compact, no zoom
Cons: Focusing can be tricky
When our firstborn was born we decided it was time to get a camera even my wife could easily use. My SLR camera was bulky, all manual and had no flash.

So off to Best Buy we went. I usually consult Consumer Reports, but being a savvy...

Great pictures at a reasonable price

by sebandsophie , Jan 07 '01
Pros: Great pictures, easy to use, compact
Cons: Power turn on can be awkward
I bought the Olympus Stylus Zoom 115 back in May 2000 for a total cost of $222.54 (includes tax), 199.95 for the camera plus about $10 for the battery. The reason I bought it was mainly to take pictures of our two year old daughter. Previously, I had...
