Pros: Price, Quality, Accuracy and ease of use Cons: Would be nice to have a choice to have the flash auto pop up or not. Now it is only manual.
Summary: Among the three brands, Nikon and Canon are clearly selling at the premium to Minolta. For pros, it might make sense for them to choose Nikon or Canon for the better choice of lens. But there is absolutely no difference in optical result between the ... read more

Pros: Top spec, robust built, powerful flash, great handling, good price Cons: The advanced features aren't dumbed down at all; you have to know exactly what you want and how to get it

Pros: Beautiful pictures; simple to use in auto mode.. Cons: A bit heavy and the AF/MF switch quit working and had to be replaced.
Summary: I've owned an 800si for 2 years and the pictures it takes are phenomenal. I recently visited Carlsbad Caverns and took several rolls of 800 speed film with it and they came out superbly! I use it with a Tamron 28-300mm lens which, for me, is a perfect
