Pros: very reasonably priced, remarkably clean electronics and sound Cons: low-budget packaging (hardware, manuals, etc.)
Once you descend into the mania of aftermarket car hi-fi and get past the 1st Level (i.e., swapping out the factory head unit for a Pioneer or Kenwood, and/or replacing the crappy factory speakers for much better aftermarket ones), the 2nd Level yawns...
Pros: Low Price, nice cosmetics Cons: No Preamp Outputs, Heat Sensitivity, Inaccurate power ratings, terrible crossovers
I purchased 2 of the US acoustics amps a little less than a year ago. They were stolen last night, and I couldn't be happier. Dollar for Dollar, these Amps just don't hold up to any sort of imagination regarding your car stereo system. With the brand's...
Pros: good cost/performce ratio, quality construction Cons: mounting hardware
I bought this amplifier while searching for something to power my 6X9's. I found the unit at a local chain of audio stores for alot cheaper than similarly rated amps, cheaper enough to make me wonder if it was any good. i tried it out on teh speakers...
Pros: good amp if your on a budget Cons: not big name brand
If your looking for a tuff amplifier and don't want to spend a lot of cash getting one your looking stops here. My friend has this amp in the back of his truck right now and its pushin a 12" JBL sub hard.It has a very sleek design and fits easily...
Pros: Excellent value & features for budget amp Cons: none really.
I had the US Acoustics amps recommended to me as a good budget amp, and I'll have to say the advice was excellent. I'm using this amp bridged to power a single 8" sub & it works great. Makes plenty of power for the one sub & is plenty loud with nice clean sound.
The amp is very well-made & has many features seen on more expensive units: adjustable high and low-pass filters bass boost, gain control, etc. Not much in the way of mounting hardware & not real flashy (for me that's a plus, for others it may not be).
