Pros: Great sound, great construction and durability
Cons: Slightly pricey, but well worth it nonetheless. ALot of work, read the review
As a huge car audio enthusiast, it is hard not to fall right in love with this flagship 3 way Boston system. I'm going out on a limb enough to say that most anyone who experiences these speakers will certainly get very interested once you hear them. just...

As a huge car audio enthusiast, it is hard not to fall right in love with this flagship 3 way Boston system. I'm going out on a limb enough to say that most anyone who experiences these speakers will certainly get very interested once you hear...
Pros: very clean, crisp and loud. Reproduces music exceptionally well. Cons: I Dont think there are any.
First off let me say that underpowering a speaker will not damage it, nor will over powering--to a certain extent that is. Distortion is what kills speakers, and of course the occasional dummy who decides to hook up a tweeter to a full range amp with no...
Pros: Accuracy, handles complex material at unreal volumes, good staging, imaging, almost ruler flat response. Cons: Cost, clean high power amp is a must. Air tight seal is a MUST.
I've had the 6.5 Pro's installed for a couple of months in my 03 Tundra. Have let them break in and have almost completed the dialing in of the system. As others have stated the installation of these is VERY important for the best results. A very ...
Pros: built to last, killer sound Cons: high cost, proper imaging and equalization are a must
The first thing you notice about this speaker set is the military-issue cast-aluminum basket on the 6.5 woofer. One look at this baby and you know it's not going anywhere for a while. A quick glance at the box reveals power handling upwards of 450 watts...
Pros: Relatively cheap, great manufacturer, easy to mount Cons: Not the highest in quality
I have been a loyal Boston Acoustic fan since I bought my first set of RC51 (see my article) front end speakers. Being completely satisfied with them, I decided to go with the CX6 speaker set for my rear speakers. I can't say that I am very impressed...
Pros: Crystal Clear sound, Low Distortion Cons: Bad Woofer, Very Pricey
With the new 6.53 speakers from Boston Acoustics, I personally went from hating the drive to school to loving it. And who wouldn't with their crystal clear quality and sub woofer. Whether rolling wit your homies from the westide or playin' the gueetar to...
Boston Acoustics speakers are known by everyone as an elite group of speakers and known far around for their great sound quality. Not many venture into purchasing these speakers because of their prices, but the sound quality you will get is well...
Pros: Crystal clear, decent midrange Cons: a bit lacking midbass, sibilant tweeters
So far most of the opinions I've seen are very positive and to an extent I would happily agree. I'll grant that these speakers are indeed very clear and I've noticed that you can hear many nuances that would not be present with many other component...
Pros: Incredible detail. very dynamic Cons: very minor: a bit too bright for some; largish woofer
This review is for the Boston Acoustics Pros series 6.5.
In a nutshell, hearing this speaker will make you realize why its considered one of the best in the world and consistently makes to a great number of IASCA competitors. POssibly...
Pros: excellent sound,3 different tweeter mounting options Cons: Price is a little high at $450.00 a set
The Boston Acoustics 6.5 2-way set is the cleanest set of speakers I have ever heard. This set will reproduce music crisp and clear with excellent bottom end and midrange details, as well with a smooth high end .The set blends very nicely .The set...
After working for this company for a few months I know what goes into making these speakers. The parts and labor put into them are nothing less than the best. This, obviously, produces speakers of a sound quality and affordibility that no one can...
These speakers continue to amaze me each time I listen to them. They have a great bass tone which fills my car with the thump I have always wanted without the big subwoofers I did not want. The highs are amazingly clear as is the mid-range. For the...
I replaced my stock car speakers with a pair of Rally's last year after hearing them in a friends car. I've been quite pleased with them since then. The highs are clean, clear and bright with just a touch of sibilance, as I like them to be.
Pros: Well built, good sound, and low cost. Cons: Entry level line of speakers.
I love Boston Acoustics speakers. I have their speakers in my car, my girlfriend's car, and in my house. No matter which line of speakers you look at and compare them to similarly priced competitors they sound better and last longer. While I personally...
This speaker unlike others has handled what I have given it. Most car speakers I have had had unfortunately fallen out of their holdings or blown themselves out of service. I have gone through many and have paid many a dear dollar until I came to this...
Pros: Phenominal sound quality Cons: For the best sound you need an amplifier
Boston Acoustic pro series speakers are known by many to have a superior sound quality. Over the years countless people have gotten into my car, listened to my speakers, and no sooner than it could taken them to install a pair they have them in their...
Pros: Great sound, affordable Cons: Don't fit in some cars without customization.
I just purchased a pair of Boston Acoustics CX6 Coaxial 6 and 1/2 inch speakers for my 1991 Eagle Talon. These are definitely the best speakers I've seen for the price. After comparing them to various other brands (Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc.), they...
Pros: verrrry clean, powerful, solid construction Cons: need lots of power, tweeter may be too tinny for some
If you want to get these for $300, wait until the beginning of summer, when the new models start to come out, hifi buys with discount them. I've fallen in love with these beauties ever since the moment that I first put them in my car. I have given them...
I've got a set of the new 3 way Bostons in the front door of my 93 Honda Accord 4 door with a pair of 6 1/2's in the back. They sound absolutely amazing, but the price I paid blew me away. You've got to want a competition quality sound in your car if...
Let me say one thing about Boston Acoustic speakers...They're Awesome!
There are very few brands of speakers that actually get my respect and Boston's are one of the few that do! They are very clear and accurate to a T. Very few speakers can achieve...
Pros: great sound quality, especially when hooked up to an amp Cons: price and availability
In all honesty, I'm not sure you can find a better 6.5 inch speaker on the market today. I have installed them in my 92 eagle talon, and they bump! they have lasted almost 4 years now, without any decrease in sound quality. The crossover that were...
This is the second set of BA Pro's I have owned. I let the first set go with a vehicle when I sold it. (I will not make that mistake again.)
I wanted a set of speakers I could turn up loud enough to make your ears bleed. But I wanted the sound...
After months of going around listening to speakers, these were definately the best value for money possible. I listened to sony, kenwood, panasonic, jbl, philips, clarion, jvc and these were by far the best. The reason why I enjoy these spilts so much is...
Pros: Power, Power, Power, Clarity, Realism, did I mention power Cons: Don't forget the power. I'd say 150WPC minimum or don't bother.
I purchased these new 4 years ago. In the first system I had them in, they were running bi-amped & time aligned with active crossovers off a soundstream lil wonder amp. They had phenominal mid-range clarity, but I always found the highs ...
Pros: Excellent sound quality. Cons: Doesn't fit in all cars.
I love Boston Acoustics speakers. I have their speakers in my car, my girlfriend's car, and in my house. No matter which line of speakers you look at and compare them to similarly priced competitors they sound better and last longer. I use the RM-6's for...
Do you like eharing boom boom boom? If you like those songs with alot of bass, if you like like to skae you car, then i would have to say this sub woofer is for you. This is one of these toys for a teen, or someone in there early to late twenties. I am...
These really aren't very good speakers at all. I wouldn't recommend you waste your money on these. I bought a pair for my car and they just suck! They are cool looking though. That's about the only plus.
Pros: Awesome sound, 3 way set up provides ideal imaging. Cons: Pricing might be considered a little bit steep, but are worth it
Great product, would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. I've been using these for 3 years now and they are running strong. I took home a Sound Quality award with these speakers in my car at my very first sound quality competition. I had the midrange and tweeters placed in the corners of the dash and the mid-bass in the door. It kept the soundstage nice and high. Very clear highs and lows. The 6.5 mid-bass speaker should really be placed in it's own small enclosure for it to really shine and give great mid-bass attack.
