Pros: Good power and sound output. Cons: confusing remote but it is easy once figured out.
I have owned my Pioneer VSX-D307 receiver for a little over a year. I have had no problems with it and it has more than enough power. I have a 5 speaker setup on it and it works great. The only downside is that it took a while to get to understand...
Pros: Feature Rich, Versatile Cons: Confusing to get used to sound settings
I received the VSX-D308 as a gift recently. It was packaged with the speaker package as well, ready to set up. As soon as I took it out of the box I found assembly to be very simple and easy. It took me a total of 20 minutes to connect the speakers,...
I bought this receiver to replace a JVC receiver that I have had for a while, and also to upgrade to a surround sound receiver. It is fairly easy to setup and use. I bought this model because it was the most powerful unit that I could get for the...
Pros: Quality product, good surround sound effects Cons: difficult to set up
Bought this product at a great price on the internet. Found it fairly difficult to set up with existing peripherals. Not enough connections for all items. Fairly difficult to set up, though it did give pretty good instructions in the book. Works...
Pros: looks like it's great Cons: remote confusing, unit confusing, bad sound reproduction, pro-logic sounds like kids radio
In one of my treks to Sam's Club, I came upon this "bargain", a VSX D-307. At the time, I didn't realize or would have even cared that the VSX D-307 wasn't made anymore and had been replaced by the almost identical D-308. Pioneer must have...
very good bang for the buck by shawnboy ,Dec 11 '05
Pros: very good sound, easy to use, slams any speaker you can throw at it. Cons: surround sound not great, but still gets the job done.
I bought the VSX-D308 receiver for $100. This thing ROCKS!! it is rock solid. The sound quality is very good on it, the surround sound is not all that great. but it still does good in theater mode. I have actually blown out 3 light bulbs from this thing because it punches so hard it makes my light dim to the bass. I would recommend this receiver who is looking for something that is very durable, and great sound quality, and it is very easy to use.
