Ive seen 'em all....

by audiophile24 , Jun 01 '01
Pros: High quality picture that is usually found on much more expensive products.
Cons: There are no real cons to this unit, except its weight.
First of all, Ill tell you about my basis for an opinion. Im a home theater installer who has seen every dvd player form top of the line to garbage.
If you can find a good price for this unit, (under 650.00) you will not be dissapointed....

by h3rmes , Dec 07 '00
Pros: Read all CD format, passes true 96/24, THX Ultra
Cons: Transport generates slight noise

Hi,

Again, I purchased this DVD player as an example of the absolute "state of the art" so that I could present the best picture to my potential partners/investors/customers.

DV-05: Affordable Elite!

by mdm , Oct 07 '99
Pros: better picture, black blacks
Cons: non-intuitive remote
After much research, I finally settled on the Pioneer Elite DV-05. I found it for $650 new on the net, and was willing to pay an extra $200 for the known Pioneer quality and the superior picture afforded by the Elite's circuitry.

The unit was...
