I traded my Sony DVP S7700 for a Pioneer DV09. Being in Canada I found, don't know why, the Pioneer DV09 to be priced at $2220. But it is well worth the money. I managed to pick one up for $1800 Canadian Dollars at the local store.

The picture quality is what you have come to expect from DVDs. It maybe even surpasses that standard, but it also costs literally 5-10x more than average players, so it better.
This unit was installed by me on 4 seperate occasions. I was impressed withthis unit because the natural colors displayed were outstanding. Even on a 100" screen.
