Pros: Plays VCD, CD, PAL, DVD!!! Optical and S-video out! Cons: Cannot play burned VCDs.
If your looking for a quality DVD player at an affordable price, the Sony DVP S330 is just what your looking for! It is an excellent piece of machinery. I came to this conclusion with several months of research and also from trying out several other...

Pros: Easy hook up, great sound quality (as long as you have a stereo hooked up to it) Cons: Can't adjust the picture, not enough options to do so
To be quite honest, this Sony DVD was a gift from my wife, so unfortunately, I was not there at the Good Guys when she bought it, so I couldn't ask the appropriate questions to make sure this was the product for us.
However, in today's times,...

Pros: Dolby Digital, DTS, packed with features. Cons: Can't think of any.
When I decided to build a true "home theater" system, I decided to purchase components all of the same brand, and eventually decided on Sony. I figured it was reasonably good quality for the price range I was looking to stay in (around $1500...

Pros: Best sound and picture you'll ever watch out of your living room, able to go directly to certain scenes in a movie Cons: Expensive discs/accessories, not all movie stores have made the full-blown switch to DVD's
I just moved into a college dorm and I thought since DVD's were getting so popular and I was going to have to invest in a movie player anyway, I would go try to price a DVD player. I was shocked that I was able to find one for under 500$. I'm...

Pros: Audio, Video -- Price of DVD's Cons: Price of the player
For those of you who are stuck in the past using a VCR for your VHS tapes, you need to catch up with the times. I have a family of four, my wife and two kids, and we watch movies quite often. We were sick of tapes getting jammed in the VCR, tape coming...

Pros: Picture quality, Remote, Ease of use Cons: Player noise.
I first went to a Con, NY, NJ electronics store called The Wiz and their prices were a little on the expensive side, even though there was a sale their Philips 825at was around $270.00 so I decided to go someplace else then I went to a store in Manhattan...

Pros: Great Dvd player! Cons: Found in stores by you
I recently purchased this DVD player because my children encouraged me to because all of their friends had them or were getting them after the new Millenium. I of course had never heard of it until i decided to look into it after hours of begging and...

Pros: Very Nice Machine Cons: Expensive
I really like this machine. I first bought it a year ago, and I've been pleased with it ever since. The picture and sounds quality are great, and it doesn't hurt my DVDs at all. I just couldn't be more pleased. The only real problem is the price....

Pros: Multiple angle shots in movies, No internal decoder, Dual S-Video outputs, Screen savers, Automatically remembers where you stopped the movie last and restarts from there, Very high quality, S-Link for added integration to a home theatre system, Cons: Single Laser for both CD's and DVD's (Will shorten the life of the player ever so slightly), Many buttons on the remote seem intimidating, have to flick a switch to go between T.V. and DVD control on the remote, No added features like HDCD or component out
While deciding whether to jump on the DVD wagon or not I made sure to do my research first. Yes DVD is here to stay and eventually it will take over the VHS market. Probably sooner than you think. So with the dramatic increase in picture and sound...

Pros: Its a Sony, easy to use, its DVD, fast responses Cons: not recordable, remote control confusing at first
DVD offers so much more than our old 14 year VCR does. DVD plays crisp videos with no problems, small discs, and WONDERFUL quality. This player even more so. It plays discs skip free, and its responses are instantaneous, unlike a Pioneer that I tried....

Pros: inexpensive Cons: missing some of the higher end features
The S330 is a great entry point for those who want to get a DVD player but don't want to shell out the big bucks for a few extra features that won't ever be used.
Buying a DVD player is sort of like buying a CD player-- the quality will be...

Pros: never skips, loaded with options Cons: doesn't provide the option to zoom in and out.
I have been considering buying a DVD player for the past several years. I have been worried if DVD's would actually last of if they would end up being a phase like the laser disks. Well this year for Christmas I decided to bite the bullet and buy a DVD...

Pros: Fast, easy set-up. No brainer to use. Cons: Remote seems a little lightweight
I decided DVD was here to stay, so I went out and took a look at a few. I didn't want to wipe out my checking account, in case I wouldn't be overwhelmed with DVD quality. The one I came home with was the Sony S330. It wasn't the cheapest model, but it...

Pros: Play's all U.S. DVD's, Quality Unit, Great Performance Cons: Lacks some of the features of more expensive models
My sister (just out of college) and I (still in college as an engineer) wanted to buy my parents a DVD player for Christmas. Needless to say we were on a budget. I did a lot of researching and this turned out to be the ONLY option.
WHAT'S...
