Pros: Durability, sound quality, and Picture Cons: Lack of MP3/VCD support
My wife bought my DVD player for my birthday over 2 years ago, about a month before my daughter was born (September). She didn't want to but it at first, but after alot of persistance, she caved. Truth be known I think she was too pregnant to put up much...

Pros: Sound and picture clarity. Cons: Doesn't record
I originally went out searching for a DVD player so see what all the hype was about. Some of my friends had them at the time and was praising that it was a good investment and they don't use thier VCR's anymore.
I thought, no way, I use my...

Pros: easy to use, nice features Cons: freezes once in a while (may be DVD and not the player)
After doing some research at various places, this one seemed the best buy for what I wanted to spend. I haven't really had any troubles with it. Occasionally, the frame will freeze in the middle of a scene for about a second, but I don't know if that's...

Pros: Affordability! Under $300. Simplicity. Great features. Cons: If you flip between the foreign language audio, and the main menu too quickly, you can unsycronize the audio track from the movie. (you really have to push a bunch of buttons quickly, and repeatedly)
Being a movie buff with an extensive VHS film library. I was not looking forward to buying a DVD player when they first came out. I was having flashbacks of dumping my tape collection when CD players came out.
I knew I had to face the music...

Pros: Total value Cons: Nothing
I agree 100% with other opinions siting this player at best value. I must admit, I did not buy it, instead I bought the Pioneer Elite DV05 because the picture quality was better in my opinion, but also had to pay twice as much.
I was...

Pros: nice price Cons: Remote control buttons too small
I have owned this DVD player since 6/99. I have had nothing but good luck with this product so far. I must admit the remote control is not that great. The setup of the buttons & the size of them (being so small) makes it a lil un-user friendly. I...

Pros: component video out, digital audio out, low price Cons: can't play CD-R music CD's
I bought this DVD player because it came highly recommended at deja.com. It's been about 9 months, and I've loved it. It's easy to use and has high video/audio quality.

Pros: Easy to use remote. Great picture and sound. Cons: Doesn't support now defunct CD-Rom movies. No optical digital hookup.
Being a tech buff, I had to have the newest toy, so as soon as my local video store started carrying DVD's. In February 1999, income tax check in hand, I was ready to buy. Doing my homework, I found the next generation in DVD players was just around the...
