Aiwa NS-XHMA56 Shelf System

Pros: great sound, easy to use controls, nice LED display
Cons: so so reliablilty.

Bought on Ebay on the cheap ($75.00)as a replacement for an Aiwa (not the same exact, but very close ) that I liked alot and was using but it left when the owner of it moved out. This has great sound, deep deep rich bass with the powered sub woofers, good CD clarity, decent FM reception.
The only problem I noticed was a slight clicking during tuning scanning coming from the left speaker. But I was trying to dub a CD one day to tape and the tape jammed up. So I am not in the process of having it serviced.

Pros: No problems for 4 years, great sound, much much more
Cons: Nothing

Before i bought this, i had previously owned a 460 watt JVC. But that didnt last long. after a while, i started to hear a rattling noise inside the speakers. It didnt sound good to beginwith. This system sounds much better than JVC with mearly half the power. still have it after 4 years. (beats the 1 1/2 years with the JVC) Right now, i have a 225 watt KLH 10" sub to sit along side it
