Pros: compact, light, plays and records Cons: battery costs alot, only 6 hrs listening on full battery
If you are thinking about buying a mini disc player I think you should buy the Sharp Mini Disc 702. I have just recently bought one and I use it all the time. It doesn't cost a lot of money and it is very portable. It costs around 280 dollars, but I...

Pros: Portable, Nice Looking, Excellent Sound Cons: Hard to "title" tracks, headphones that come with the product are cheap.
I bought the Sharp MD-MS702 Player/Recorder from a store on the net called "E-Town". As soon as I pulled it out of the box and charged the lithium battery, it was ready to go. I barely had to read the directions at all, except for naming the...

Pros: Inexpensive. Small. Nice remote. Cons: Mine broke after 2 years. Batteries wear out too easily. Remote glitches.
I bought my Sharp MD-MS702 player/recorder for $225 in March 1999. It lasted me around 2 years. While my friend was ejecting a disk, the laser broke. The cost to fix the laser would be more than buying a new more recent model.
I bought the...

Pros: Everything Cons: a bit old
I don’t own, but frequently use a Sharp 701 portable minidisc recorder, and I have to say that although it’s old now, has only 10 seconds antishock, and uses ATRAC 5, I think it is still one of the best minidisc recorders there are, and if you see one...

Pros: good sound quality while it lasted, lit remote, headphones are pretty nice Cons: broke in 4 months, big, heavy, no belt clip, cheap screws fall out on their own, price, confusing to operate, bad battery life, the list goes on and on...
Well i bought this MD because of both the price and the look. Well looks can be decieving, because this minidisc has been the biggest waste of cash i've ever spent. I bought it back in May of 2000, with the money i got for my birthday (also in May). I...

Pros: Easy to use Cons: old model, heavy, bulky
If you know anything about MD players, you will know that what you need at the start is a sleek easy to sue recorder and or player. The Sharp 702 is a good start for people who do not understand fully on how to use MD recorders.
The design is...

Pros: NONE Cons: Only worked for 5 months
I had this thing less then 9 months and it already doesn't work. It won't read the TOC from any of my discs. I tried calling to get this repaired and was told that it only has 90 days on parts.
Don't waste your money on this product. I will NOT...

Pros: Sound quality Cons: Size, battery life
I bought this item for $200. It is one of the more inexpensive MD player/recorders. The thing is BIG! I mean REALLY bulky. Plus the length of the batteries is on the short side. I will say though that the sound quality is excellent! It is better then any...

Pros: Cheaper while having the necessities Cons: Lacks some extra features
Ah yes, the Sharp-702 player. This player may not be the best player out there due to the fact that it is more bulky and heavier than the newer models. However, all of the necessities of an Mini Disc Player are found in it.
It...

Pros: long battery life, operates Cons: no known PC interface, a little fatter than current models
I wish it had a PC interface. Aside from that...Good price. All the bells and whistles. No 'door' to mess with like the Sony. I bought my MS-702 in Dec 98 when shopping for the best all-round MD player. When I asked a salesman to help me compare the...
