Pros: MP3/WMA Playback, Nice Reception, Excellent Sound, Remote, Line In Cons: Volume/Tuning knob design, stiff buttons
I must first admit that all of the car stereos that I have owned that were not factory-installed units have been Blaupunkts. The reason: Blaupunkt has a reputation for making good, affordable, functional, and fun products, and the MP3000 is no ...
Pros: Features, price, ease of use Cons: The romantic-mood-killer bright display
I have been shopping around for a replacement of my vehicle's factory cassette radio for a while when I stumbled upon this unit. Looking at the features and price I think this is a good deal for the $$$. This unit has all you'd ever want in a ...
Pros: Feature rich, MP3 capable! Good tuner, easy to use. Cons: Some features are dumb and useless but who cares? Don't use them.
I've had this unit for quite a while and I was hesitant to buy it at first because of the lack of reviews and information. I'm glad I went ahead and bought it. I've hardly ever had a problem reading a disk. Only really scratched disk will even start ...
Pros: Why pay for cd's when you can have all the songs for FREE! Cons: None.
Some consumers may question the high price. But in time, it will pay for itself. Why buy cd's which cause countless dollars, when u can download the songs off your very own pc for free. Not only thing, but it has an incredible amount of space on it. You...
Pros: excellent power, easy install, good specs Cons: it sounds so good it's hard to get out of the car.
I've had my MP3000 for about 2 years. I did a good bit of research on CD/MP3 players before I bought -- the good specs and the excellent price hooked me on the MP3000 (plus it's got a cool name).
It's been through 3 cars and it's fits all of them. A Caravan, Sentra, and now a Miata, so it's very versatile.
With a Haynes manual, replacing your current factory player is an easy 1.5 hour job.
On the specs side, it's an MP3 CD player, it's got excellent power and it's got a quick seek time.
So satisfied, I keep buying it! by petez1 ,Oct 19 '04
Pros: loud, durable, great features. Cons: Never was a big fan of "flip down" faces.
I first bought this unit 2 years ago quite by accident. I wanted a new car stereo that could handle CD-RW and possibly mp3's. I Spotted the MP3000 at Costco for a good price and took the(impulse)plunge.
Well, I could not have been happier! It installed easily in my 1998 Acura and sounded great. I can load a disc with up to 200 mp3's and never be tuneless. It supports album, artist and title tags as well as multiple files in multiple folders.
I do quite a bit of home recording and use the car as a listening booth to check out my mixes, so the CD-RW option was the kicker for me...but the mp3 player is what my wife and son use the most.
I have since finished a project 1975 280z, and picked up an old chevy van for surfing so I purchased 2 more MP3000's online at Shop.com with the same great results.
I give high marks to this loud, full featured and durable little unit. Worth every penny! http://amos.shop.com/amos/cc/main/catalog/pcd/8431704/prd/12361885/ccsyn/260/_x_/SmartBargains-com-Blaupunkt-MP3000-Car-CD,-MP3-CD-Receiver
