Pros: Don't have to contract for a year like satellite Cons: Terrible, reception and service, high prices
Broadband? What broadband? Not where I live. The name of the company is AT&T Broadband but there's no broadband in sight, just plain old TV like their predecessor TCI has had for years, only the reception and service has gotten even worse.
Pros: Convenient and Good Service! Cons: Didn't like digital!
For the previous three years we had Dish Network, and after moving we are now using AT&T Broadband Cable. Cable is fine, but I do not think the selection of channels is quite a good for the money as we had with our satellite dish.
Pros: Reliable cable service Cons: Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired, disconnection process is moronic.
Where to begin my tale of woe; where to begin to sort through the morass that was my cable service; how to put into words the utter frustration and at time desperation I felt in dealing with a customer service department that is at best moronic?

Sorry, but I'm not going to discuss the technical service merits of AT&T Broadband and Digital Cable, even though I'm paying for their service now...in more ways than one. My focus now is on their "Customer Care" (I mean, "Customer-I-Don't-Care") billing...
Pros: You dont have to buy expensive equipment to get Digital Cable. Cons: It's not available in all areas.
The new buzz in my area is Digital Television by AT& T Broadband. You do not have to buy a new TV however all AT&T Broadband customers will need an AT&T Digital TV receiver.
With this receiver you can program your TV and set reminders...
Because my family and I wish to get at least one channel on television, we subscribe to AT&T Cable Services. Yes, I'm serious. We can't get even one channel without cable in our town. And, to top it off AT&T Cable was our...
Pros: Great Channel Guide, Music Channels Cons: Slow to change channels, more expensive
I recently moved to San Francisco and signed up for cable service with TCI, which is now owned by AT&T. TCI insisted that I sign up for digital cable, and even though I repeatedly said that I did not need the supposedly enhanced service, they...
We've had our cable service with TCI for over 3 years and before moving to Arizona, we had them for 8 years. I've never been more disappointed with a cable company than with TCI.
Pros: At least they have color programming! Cons: Bad reception, horrible customer service
I have to start out by saying that I have a very short fuse when it comes to incompetence or deceit when dealing with service providers. Whether it be insurance companies, banks, lawyers, utilities or retailers, you run into poor service all the time....
Pros: Better Equipment and services Cons: Same High Price
I have lived in the Reading Pennsylvania area for about 8 years now. For most of those years, a local cable company serviced our city. However, three years ago, our local company was purchased by Time Warner Cable. About a year ago, AT&T took over...
Pros: Lots and lots of movie channels, great if you're a movie buff Cons: They've taken away our freedom of choice in Chicagoland
AT&T has quickly overtaken every cable service formerly serving Chicagoland - MediaOne, TCI, Cablevision (which sold its Chicagoland rights to what became MediaOne), and every other service provider eventually sold their rights to do cable to these...
Pros: More channels than rabbit ears can offer, bills are printed on pretty color paper. Cons: Strange lineup changes, very expensive, spotty service, poor value.
[Revised: see last paragraph.]
Our house has had cable since it was first available in our Chicago burb. We've seen things change: what started as MetroVision became Time Warner Cable a number of years back. Last year, AT&T took...
Pros: Clear picture, reasonable price, decent customer service Cons: It can get addictive
Our family have always been movie buffs, in particular, although we frequently enjoy TV programs as well. TCI was our cable provider for a number of years after which, just recently, AT&T took over. We continued to subscribe to basic expanded cable...
Pros: Good reception Cons: Customer Service, Technical Support, Price
We had AT&T digital cable installed last year. The typical installation nightmares followed, but we soon had a billion channels to chose from without having to buy a dish. Yippie!
The prices rose. And rose... and rose. I don't mean the...
