Pros: It's easily available! Cons: Poor reception, expensive, no choice
I am an ATT/TCI customer. You could call me a victim. Sure, I choose to have cable, but that's where my choice ends. There is only one cable company in town, and that's ATT/TCI. We just got digital cable, because we were promised "hundreds"...

Pros: Better reception than an antenna Cons: Cost, Customer "Service", Available channels, Repair wait time
We pay $40 a month for the most basic cable channels, which are only so-so these days. Any new cable channels that come out are only added to AT&T's digital package -- the cable customers are the forgotten stepchildren.
The thing that upsets...

Pros: quality usually good Cons: nickel and dime you, poor customer service
I was a loyal TCI customer for 10 years. I am no longer. This past spring I moved to a new house. The day after I moved in I set up the TV, plugged the cable in and presto the cable was working. I have previously called the cable company to cancel my...

Pros: Large selection of channels, convenient, easy to use Cons: Sometimes experience loss in display information
Digital Cable is the greatest thing to come since cable itself!!! I purchased AT&T’s digital cable about 3 months ago and have loved it ever since. It has a much greater selection than regular cable but offers you normal channels unlike some satellite...

Pros: It is cable t.v., lots of channels, good installer. Cons: Horrible Hardware & software, slow, bad menus, expensive
Having just switched from satellite TV to AT&T's digital cable, I can definitely notice a difference in service between the two. At my home we have recently upgraded to the new dish 500 system but I have AT&T digital cable at my college home. It is...

Pros: Huge channel line-up, good service Cons: A little pricey
It seems that everything is going digital these days. First, AT&T bought out my television cable company (which was TCI). A few months later, we were presented with the option of getting digital cable. That was my first jump on to the digital...

Pros: Fast easy and fun. Cons: Expensive.
Last month i signed up for att @home (internet service), and have been very happy with it. I could not resist the free installation, free cable modem, free month of service, and the 75 dollar gift certificate. I'm not sure if this offer is available in...

Pros: Um....well, it's cable Cons: Everything. Bad reception, no channels, high bills
Let me start this out by saying that we like our cable so much that we're getting directv in less than a week and neither my husband or myself can wait.
When we moved into our area a year and a half ago, Media One had our cable service. I...

Pros: rarely losses signal Cons: Guide, picture quality
I got rid of my Dish Network Satellite TV service a couple months ago and now I think I made a mistake. I had been having problems with signal loss and long story short, they couldn't fix it,so I bolted. Now I'm told that there is a 3ft dish for...

Pros: Great channels, free month of programming, price comparable to satellite TV. Cons: Must have the receiver plugged in to the phone line.
AT&T digital cable programming is a wonderful service and one that I won't be rid of soon.
Satellite TV is nice because it provides a guide to the channels available to you. The downside is you have to buy the equipment, pay...

Pros: Movie channels, pay per view Cons: EXPENSIVE, no better reception, pay per view is high cost
O.k. I had TCI...it became AT&T. IMMEDIATELY the changes occurred. Not in the service, which continues to be poor. Not in the reception, which also continues to be poor. But in the cost. My costs have gone up. Now, I have the digital cable...

Pros: good channel selection Cons: outages galore, poor customer service, poor technical service
Where to begin? I've had nothing but headaches with TCI since 1995, when we first had the misfortune of dealing with them.
TCI of Illinois was offering a new product to be tested called IT (Intelligent Television)in our area. We had the IT box...

Pros: Your only choice for cheap cable! Cons: You have to pay extra for good channels..
There aren't many choices for cheap cable in Western Washington. In fact, there aren't really any. ^_^ All you've got is TCI/AT&T. You can go for Digital Cable or Sattelite, but if you want to pay less than about $40/month, AT&T's your only...

Pros: It Doesn't blank out as much as it used to Cons: Higher rates and No Choices
I just read a review on ATT and TCI linking together and I wanted to express some consumer views. ATT just took over our local TCI cable company and within the first month raised our rates. After reading the other article, I can see that money is...
