Pros: It's a little bit more than what you get with an antenna Cons: hardly any channels, no internet, horrible quality, awful customer service, pricey
With a whopping 32 channels, you can turn on your TV at any given time and watch, well, a whole lot of nothing! The sparse selection of channels basically guarantees that trying to find any interesting programming is like hunting an animal on the...

Pros: NONE Cons: Bad reception, freezing doubled images, THey deny us regular programming to present advertisments for hours at a time!!
Hi, I wanted to take a minute to tell you that there is a place you can send complaints about the poor services of Adelphia Cable. First, you should write to Adelphia and try to see if anything comes up from it (Keep the dates and copies from the...

Pros: Not sure of any Cons: HORRIBLE COUSTOMER SERVICE!
Today is August 2'nd. We were supposed to have cable a month ago and we finally got everything today!
The first problem: The installer comes to our house around July 18th, looks around and then tells me he cannot install the cable because I'm...

Pros: none Cons: everything
After several moves over the past 10 years, this is the first cable company I've been totally unhappy with. Their billing has been inaccurate and erratic. They didn't bill at all for about 5 months, then sent 6 month bills for twice the rate I signed up...

Pros: You get the Sci-Fi channel and TV Land Cons: No Cartoon Network. Overpriced. Snobby.
I live in Maine where we had been getting the wonderful local-owned State Cable provider for many, many years. Then in 1997, Frontervision got a hold of the provider, gave us a few channels and stayed around untill mid fall 1999. Then Adelphia took hold...

Pros: Standard selection of cable networks, decent variety. Cons: Constant nagging by installers whenever a neighbor signs up!
In our area, if you're going to sign up for cable, Adelphia is basically you're main option for a provider. We have decided not to have regular cable in our home, for several reasons. For one thing, we don't have the $30+ per month to spend on tv!...

Pros: clear reception, always on Cons: PRICE
I live in a city where we only have one choice of a cable provider. The city decided to give our contract to Adelphia, it didn't sit to well with the residents of the city. I feel that the price we have to pay is outrageous! It cost more than $30 a month...

Pros: Field service excellent excellent Cons: Customer Service reps on phone uninformed of local services outages.
We cannot watch a local television station in our area without cable, therefore we must subscribe. The numerous outages we incure with ADELPHIA, with many excuses as to why, after being on hold for a considerable amount of time is unacceptable. We...

Pros: courteous service reps Cons: too costly/no voice in changes
I would like to know who decides what stations are removed and/or added.
I attempted to tape a program on WPIX one Tuesday night and what did I
get? CSPAN2!!! When I called, I was informed that WPIX was no longer on
the menu, but I now...

Pros: clear picture, good sound Cons: frequent interruptions
What happened to the good old days when cable didn't get scrambled every time the wind picked up. Although I enjoy digital cable at times, I don't think it's worth the extra money, unless you like all the great movie channels it offers. However, these...

Pros: Its cable Cons: Expensive, poor internet cable service
I only wish I could choose Cable Providers the way I can choose ISP's. I am stuck with Adelphia and their high rates, non-existant customer service, and their half-@%$# cable modem service. I have basic plus service; we wanted Court TV so we could watch...

Pros: Someone else installs it, you don't own the equipment and they have to repair it. Cons: Too few channels, too many taxes, monthly cable box fees.
The real deal...
You get less of the available pay stations for the money.
You pay more in taxes.
As always you must pay to have their equipment in your home.
The picture is sometimes like watching a movie with the video paused...

Pros: reliable Cons: no sci-fi channel, expensive
I had Adelphia cable service from 1994 through last December, when I moved out of my apartment and into a house. I am leery of getting cable again. The cost is too high, for one thing. I had basic cable and it was about $32.00 per month.

Pros: customer Service has been helpful Cons: refer to the title
I live out in the country, in a place which hasn't yet jumped into the 1990's, and the only cable provider I have access to is Adelphia. I know I shouldn't expect the big providers (such as TimeWarner and Americast) to find our little town in the middle...

Pros: Customer service/tech support/billing are open 24 hours via telephone. Cons: Adelphia gained too many areas and customers in a short period of time.
First of all.. I work for Adelphia so I do have an inside view of how this company actually works.
Adelphia is one of the nation's leading cable companies with more than 5.5 million residential customers nationwide. In addition to cable...
