Comcast provides my family with amazing service. I have had Comcast for over 2 1/2 years now and I have never had not one problem with their services,their customer service, nor their products. This is a top of the line company and I would highly recommend them. Why go some place else when you have the Best. Comcast Phone,Cable and Broadband Internet exceed my expectations.

Pros: Dependable service. Customer service is not outsourced to another country.
Cons: Expensive, but on par with other providers. Package deals make the difference.

My experience with Comcast has been exactly the opposite. I have had fast, dependable, courtious service and I can't ask for much more than that from a utility company. Of course, I would like a lower bill, but, well, we can't expect 'em to be perfect, right?...after all, we just established they are a utility company, right? ;-)

I bought Comcast because it was the only cable company in the area and my previous dish experience was not favorable. We have DirecTV at our river house currently ONLY because cable is not available, and I can tell you with absolute conviction that Comcast is a superior product.

I LOVE my DVR and my OnDemand channels!!! My wife and I use the OnDemand and DVR pretty much exclusively. I love how easy Guide is to use.

I hate(?) that they don't rotate the OnDemand movies more often. That's really the worst thing that I have to say about Comcast.

Pros: great - unlike satelite you dont lose picture when the wind blows

Comcast cable has to be the best cable service provider I have ever used. Their prices are a great value given the services I have. Video on demand is a must have and the internet service blows away the competition in speed and quality.

Pros: Great picture Loads of channels. Fast internet. Awesome customer service.
Cons: They don't have more services to which I could subscribe.

I've had Comcast cable and internet for more then five years and digital phone service for 18 months. In this time I have seldom had any issues with the service, and anything that did come up was promptly taken care of, the people on the phone are always nice, polite, and willing to help.

Pros: Good product, good service.
Cons: A tad expensive.

The quality of Comcast service seems to vary by area. When my son's cable service in Washington, DC was bought by Comcast he was, initially, unhappy with their service. Of course he had been very unhappy with the original company.

I live in the Philadelphia area (Home of Comcast. In fact the new Comcast Tower is rising right outside my office window.) and I have been entirely happy with Comcast's cable and high speed Internet service. We have had both services ever since they became available so, I must admit, I have little to compare it to, but I don't intend to experiment for comparison purposes.

My several year old TiVo is starting to electronically mis-behave, so I am thinking seriously of switching from TiVo to Comcast's DVR service.

Is Comcast expensive? Yes! Has it been reliable? Very! Have the Comcast service people been helpful and courteous? Definitely!

I have been a subscriber for over 6 years in the San Francisco Bay area. I have had to mover four times and within all those moves my service continued to be great. The cable is constantly improving with high definition and the packages have great choices. The customer service by phone is considerate and they offer what ever they can to satisfy the customer. The in home service is timely & they give 3 to 4 hour windows for you visit so that you don't have to wait around all day to get a service call. I have called and made many appointments & have never been treated poorly. Now I am trying the 3 in one- phone high speed Internet & TV cable. I feel certain this will work out just as well as always.

Pros: No weather related outages like satelite. No contracts.
Cons: Price. In Atlanta, didgital cable $90/month 4 everything.

I have have graduated from standard cable to Direct TV and now to Digital Cable. Our experience has been one of real growth. When we went to Direct TV, we were in love with all of the channels that were available. The drawbacks were the obvious ones, limited number of sets on the system (we have 5 kids), and rain/weather effects on viewing. We now have been on digital cable for 6 months and love it! We don't have weather issues (underground utilities in our area), and we still get hundreds of channels like Direct TV. We also get true Hi-Def for our local channels now which was not yet offered in Direct TV when we switched (they had local channels, but not in Hi-Def). We make use of the Fiber Optic connections to our surround sound system and enjoy movies in a true home theater enviroment. We don't enjoy the billing practices of any of the companies traditionally involved with premium television, so I won't go into that since it's the same song as everyone else.

We have not had Dish network, so I don't have a basis of comparison for them.

Pros: Great uptime ppv is easy HDTV additions are plentiful
Cons: Very expensive for inadequate service and very few package options

I have comcast cable in south Florida I have been a subscriber for a couple of years now. I have subscribed to other cable companies and Direct TV.

What can I say about Comcast cable? I guess starting with the good would be easiest:

1. Uptime is pretty much 99%
2. PPV purchase is easy via remote
3. Recent addition of HDTV programming is nice

The bad may take a little more time.

1. VERY VERY Expensive
2. Not really digital cable
3. It says Dolby Digital disclaimer on the box but no
digital output
4. Not a very good line-up
5. Customer service is barely sufficient
6. Onsite service is slow and poor
7. Very few package options it's pretty much all or nothing
8. VERY VERY Expensive - I MEAN VERY Expensive

I would recommend Direct TV if you have the option. As of the present time I live in an apartment that does not allow even small dishes.

Pros: We get cable
Cons: Comcast is allowed to build their future on our backs. Sweet deal for them

Finally, the FCC is looking into pricing policies of major cable companies. They spend our money to set themselves up tomake big money... they they hire lobyists to keep themselves there. "We the people" become "we the suckers" because they make deals with towns that exclude
competition...., What happened to the "PRICE FIXING" laws? Comcast is allowed to build their future on the backs of our bucks because of the lack of competition.
 Are we this stupid to let our legislators continue this rot? I think this has gone far enough!
$85 for cable tv? Outragious!

Cons: High Price (On a budget? DONT GET!!!)

I have the Comcast Digital Cable. I cancelled my HBO subscription because of the high price. I just have the basic digital channels and also Encore service. I love the digital picture its great. I hate the high price, and occasional service outages. I would recommend just the digital cable because if you get additional channels that means digging deeper into your wallet.

Pros: Consistent internet and reasonably good TV clarity
Cons: They are killing the golden goose by pricing themselves out of the market.

1. I have had basic comcast (TV) cable and internet(PC) for over two years w/ my monthly bill now at over $95/mo. The price for both services has been gradually creeping up almost on a monthly basis.

2. Recently Comcast has pushed its subscribers to sign-up for their Digital service which requires at least one digital box (at a charge) and a reg. monthly charge of over $12. I have refused this. However, now it seems they are moving many of the cable channels we normally watch to the digital realm, thus forcing me either to pick-up digital or give up those channels. When I complained about this, their respose was that it was cheaper and more profitable for them. No shame there!

3. I switched my phone service from Verizon to Vonage at $16.99/mo. Comcast offered me an internet phone service for $39.99/mo bundled with my current 95/mo. I asked them how they considered a service priced at twice the competition's viable... their answer was "that's just our pricing." Again, no shame!

Comcast has had a monopoly. They have just about killed this golden goose, since I am considering Dish and cell phone.

Pros: Easy to sign up
Cons: Expensive service, deceptive billing.

I've only had Comcast for 6 months and in that time, they have overbilled me three times and increased my rate without any notice twice (these were UNRELATED to the overbilling so yes, in 6 months, I was charged more than agreed FIVE TIMES.)  This should (and maybe is) illegal.  Although each time, they've admitted the error and given me a credit, it was a hassle (a total of ~1 hr on the phone for the incidences combined) and I've had to pay for the overbilling in order not to get an overdue fee before they issued the credit so it's like I'm loaning Comcast money.  Their billing system is so confusing and correctling is so incovenient (the online chat can't fix, you have to call) they must assume people don't notice or can't be bothered to call.  Honestly I can't believe they haven't been faced with a class action lawsuit.  Any, any other service is better than this.  You have NO idea what you'll be charged by them!
