Pros: it's cable/broadband.
Cons: bad customer service. over priced for bad service. too much down time.
Ive been using comcast for a year now. No, not because I enjoy them, but because this is the only cable company in my area. I'd gladly change should any other cable company come this way. Comcast is way over priced for service that is almost always having issues. I've experienced "down time" at least 2 or 3 times a month. Their techs leave you on hold for ages and when they finally do remember you're on line, you've already forgotten what you called for.

This company tries to make money off of any little known issues instead of trying to help you out on the phone first. If your emergency phone's techs can't help someone, why have them? I'm tired of the "I'll send someone to your home" quick fix. What they don't tell you is that they charge anywhere from $29.99-$59.99 for that person to come to your home and many times it's something you could have done yourself if the phone tech would have been patient enough to help you.

Comcast = Hidden Fees and Unfulfilling promises

Pros: 1. Service is good and reliable.
2. Sometimes give a good deal. 
Cons: Never get credits for the false-charges and hidden fees
Rude representatives.
No deals/offers for current customers.
I have all three Phone/TV/Internet at home. Although service is good, they most of the time charge you strange fees, so please pay a close look to statements. If you call the cust-reps they are rude about 10% of the times and although they promise that a credit will be given, it never appear and then you kind of end up calling comcast every month.

I really, really hate Comcast Cable!

Pros: The service is there and works most of the time.
Cons: Many channels experience digital scrambling.
This company has no concern for consumers. Their movement into the Boston area is a cable disaster. These scumbags drop channels without notice and don't care how customers feel about it. Now, they are increasing rates by 2.5% with no valid increase in service. I am livid that the Republican controlled Congress will do nothing to protect consumers from the cable monopoly.

Horrible service, bad customer service.

Pros: Supposedly a large number of channels, although they are not reliably available.
Cons: Bad customer service, bad cable signal, bad Internet service
I have had Comcast in Montgomery County, MD for two weeks and have not had a single day of uninterrupted service. The service people on the phone are not helpful - they say whatever you want to hear but never follow through. We have a digital cable high speed Internet package and neither work reliably. The cable signal goes on and off and the images are blurry with bad sound, and we totally lose our Internet service. The problem is intermittent, and they have made two house calls to try to fix a problem that persists. They keep telling us different things and they have not found out (or solved) the problem. We are fed up with Comcast and on Monday it will be third strike and they are out - we will cancel if they don't get it right this time. I wish we had gone with a DSL-Satellite package. We went with an internet sevice and digital cable for about $100 a month and feel like I'm just wasting time and money for a service that doesn't work.

Pros: The prices are cheaper than competition.
Cons: Highly unreliable, bad service
As a whole, the Comcast is highly unorganized and unreliable. So far, it has taken four weeks to try to get my cable tv installed. The workers that come are definetly not on the same page.

Pros: all in one bill - phone, internet, cable
Cons: Pay for crappy service in all in one bill.
The customer service at Comcast sucks. I have always had problems. The triple play is a joke. I have had to get a new box twice, the internet service cuts off now and then, my phone service does not work all the time and I do not get free e-mail from comcast. The only reason I have comcast is because there is no real competition.

Pulling basic cable channels on comcast

Well I also think comcast stinks. I have the service right below the digital which should offer all the basic cable channels, but nooo. They put some of them on their digital lineup so you have to pay them more money just to get the freakin basic stuff. And then they start removing some channels from basic cable and put THEM on their digital lineup. I am NOT gonna pay them more money just to get more of what should be basic cable service. I am tempted to go to satellite service but that seems to go out when it rains heavy. Plus last year during hurricane wilma we lost our cable service but not once not even for a second did we loose our telephone. I wish Bellsouth was able to offer tv.

Comcast Digital Cable...Not A Plus!

Pros: Clear Crisp Picture, and Good Sound!
Cons: Service Interruptions and PRICE!
I currently subscribe to Comcast Digital Cable service. I would say its ok however when the repair techs come out to fix a pole our service goes off and on and it does get really annoying at times. I probably wouldn't recommend it to any family, friends. The price is outrageous and if you are on a budget...Don't Get It!

Comcast refuses to correct overbilling errors

Cons: They are the only available service in my area. (Yeah, I know they're the same.)
For 9 months Comcast double billed me for a service. It was not a large amount, only $6/mo and admittedly I should have spotted it earlier, but when I called it to their attention I was told they could only adjust one month - $6 bucks. They apparently consider the other $48 additional profit since I didn’t catch it by the second month. And the customer disservice voice wouldn't even let me speak with a supervisor about it.  

Another satisfied customer. Competition can't get here too soon for me.

Comcast has been replaced by Time Warner Cable in So. Cal.!

Pros: none at this moment.
Cons: Expensive. No interactive-guide, Pay-Per-View and OnDemand access on basic/analog cable.
Thank God Comcast in Southern California was replaced by Time Warner Cable. Bye-bye Comcast. Paying Comcast basic analog cable(non-digital) for $54.00 a month plus equipment(an old cable box from the late 90s) is ridiculous. To get digital cable package, it'll cost $10 extra. The basic only had certain channels (about 50 networks) and Digital had more premium channels which cost more. Thank you Comcast to have us pay you that isn't worth it.

Comcast has false advertising: Smart TV for Smart People. First of all if you want ot call TV "Smart" Comcast isn't, Secondly Smart people don't choose Comcast. So now they have On Demand. Well it looks great, but I have no experience since whenever I go to On Demeand it says "Communications Problem". Then I called Comcast and they fixed it for an hour, then it wouldn't work. The price is riduclus. Fourty buks a month not including digital or movie channels? It's insane! The Comcast channels have the crappiest picture quality. The digital channels have no diffrent picture quality, but the picture still has to "break" and "load". So please, DONT GET COMCAST!

Customer service is very poor and frustrating

Cons: The mess up too much and can not be relied on.
Installation of high speed internet was scheduled for Monday 5/11/09. Somehow, it was cancelled INSIDE comcast.
Customer service responded by scheduling for Tuesday 5/12/09. Same thing happened. They don't know why. So they appologized again and scheduled it for Wednesday 5/13.

When I called on 5/13 to verify that they were coming, they told me that the appointment was for a week from Wednesday, 5/20. Another mistake.

Is anyone listening? I originally was ordering internet and cable TV -- high def, recorder, premiums etc. But since they are so poor in response, I'm going with DirectTV for the TV portion -- so at least they lost $1K
per year of my business to DirectTV. Maybe someone at Comcast will wake up.

Comcast - WORST CABLE SERVICE IN THE U.S.

Pros: They "act" like they care when you call with a problem. 
Cons: They are a monopoly - you either have them or a dish.
I have had Comcast cable & Internet in my home and office for over 5 years - their service and rates suck!  Each time they add a new HD channel - they cut other channels...their bandwidth cannot handle more.  We lose1/2 of our picture (right side only) on our TV EVERY night (multiple times each night) starting at 6:00pm (Prime Time).  They said it was our TV - but when four DIFFERENT techs came out, they said it was because of a weak signal...so we paid for a "booster/accelerator" for our house. Did not work - then they relaid our cable from the box in our backyard all around our house, but when they finished and closed the box...they cut the cable.  It took 8 days to get it fixed AND our neighbors - on our shared box - lost service, too.  We finally disconnected our cable & Internet and now have DSL with ATT & cable with DirecTV.  It saves us over $80/month and I no longer have to listen to excuses from customer service people who do not care!

Pros: Only cable in my area thanks to local politicians
Cons: Price, service
They get you signed up and then raise the prices through the roof. This year their Preferred package (which is the normal cable channels) went up by over $110 per year in my county (Montgomery County MD). I'm sure the local politicians are getting their cut too. Meanwhile, Comcast waited a month and then also removed Fox News Channel, FX, and TNT from their Basic package so there was nothing left in it but ABC, NBC, and CBS, and a couple local crap stations.

Cons: everything.
It is a company with terrible Internet service and customer service!

* the technicians are untrained. One spent 3 hours to set up my service. The other spent 1 hours to understand my service was disconnected when Comcast set up the service for neighbors. I spent 3 hours on phone in order to activate my service.

* the phone service staff are terrible. They promised to do anything (setup/cancel services, fix billing errors, etc.) However, nothing could be done before calling on the same issue 4 hours and spent hours of explaining.

* the billing errors happen frequently. If you don't look at your bill carefully, you probably paying much more than you think. And each error takes unlimited phone calls and forever to fix.

* Comcast overwrites a lot TV ads and insert its own ads and programs
