Pros: Good Reception, Cable Modem Cons: Too Expensive, Channel Selection
I have experienced both cable TV and Satellite TV and up until recently one could argue successfully against satellite TV. The reason was 'Local Channel Access', with satellite TV you couldn't get the local stations at all and you had to put an antenna...

Pros: it's basic cable Cons: expensive, no selection, poor service, no extras
When I moved to Central Florida a few years ago, one of the things that excited me was the opportunity to use Time-Warner cable instead of the next door neighbor down the street inc (we lived in a small town). Instead we got Comcast. I cannot stress...

Pros: Package deals: High Speed Internet, Phone Service, and Cable all with one company Cons: Price, Taxes, Area of service, Install delays, problems vary based on your location
Comcast can often be a great or horrible choice for your cable or other needs. I don't think anyone will argue that cable providers, reception, value, and so on vary greatly. Same applies to Comcast as a company and its different regions of service. ...

Pros: More channels Cons: Nothing worth watching
I recently moved to an area that is serviced by Comcast and words can not begin to describe how disappointed I am. Previous to moving here I had had Cox Cable as my provider, and I thought they were pretty bad. But after moving here and switching to...

Pros: great stations, programming Cons: none yet
We just recently upgraded our cable to the new Comcast Digital Cable. All I can say is wow!! It is really great. There are 7 more HBO's, more educational channels and the sound and picture quality are excellent.
They even have music channels, that...

Pros: None that I can think of Cons: Service techs ignorant
I signed up for Comcast cable modem service one week ago. The experience has been a nightmare. When I first experienced problems with my newly established email account, I called service. The problems I experienced included:

Pros: Good Picture Quality, Decent Channel Selection Cons: Poor Customer Service, Monopoly Tactics, Telemarketers
One rainy day in March I was flipping through by standard cable channels and could find nothing to watch. The weekly phone call from the Comcast telemarketing department came just in time. More channels! More movies! More sports! Sign me up! And...

Pros: Don't have any Cons: Expensive, bad scheduling
I finally broke down and ordered the cable for my computer and my home T.V. from Comcast, referred to by another reviewer as COMCRAP,in which I agree. The first and most important thing to remember is you can't be in a hurry when ordering. If you order...

Pros: none Cons: a monopoly, costly, cheap channels
Comcast just bought out our local cable company and I wish they would go away!
Once upon a time our cable was 15.00, a few years later, $21.00...then if you wanted HBO or another movie channel, it was around $35.00.
That got to high for the...

Pros: Fibre Optics have improved some channels, Digital Cable Cons: Insanely expensive! Monopoly! poor reception on many channels, poor channel selection
Comcast cablevision is one of the largest cable companies in the US.
That is not a positive.
What may work in one area, does not fit for all areas and it seems that Comcast has taken their "cookie-cutter" mentality...

Pros: good reception Cons: no good movies on premium channels
It's not the best but I'm sure it's not the worse either. The HBO channel has the same movies all the time. There is maybe 1 new movie on a month and that's not enough to keep me happy. They do have lots of other good channels. HGTV, Lifetime, TNT...
