Pros: Only cable service in area Cons: Constant rate hikes
I'm from a northern Detroit suburb and in this area Comcast has been ripping people off for a least 10 years now. Constant rate hikes for the same service and sometime less service is the main problem. Poor quality of picture is also a problem that...

Pros: Good programming options. Works in bad weather. Cons: Poor customer service & costs too much. Weak internet at end of service lines.
Maryland Comcast repeatedly fails to deliver on scheduled technician service appointment times, causing significant inconvenience to customers. All Comcast customers should demand service credits when service isn't completed as ...

Pros: none - they're the only game in town Cons: prices keep going up
My local cable station was just bought out by Comcast, so maybe it is too soon to tell how I will like Comcast. However, I despised my previous cable company (Suburban Cable) so much that I can’t believe anything could be worse.
I have a...

Pros: Good Reception Cons: same movies over and over again
I enjoy movies and mostly sitcoms, well it would be nice to see a variety of movies once and awhile. I think most of the time is spent surfing instead of watching, come on for these prices put something on. I said I liked sitcoms well at least the...

Pros: Fibre Optics have improved some channels, Digital Cable Cons: Insanely expensive! Monopoly! poor reception on many channels, poor channel selection
Comcast cablevision is one of the largest cable companies in the US.
That is not a positive.
What may work in one area, does not fit for all areas and it seems that Comcast has taken their "cookie-cutter" mentality...

Pros: ...I can sorta see some channels... Cons: ...price, picture, customer service...
When I moved into my apartment building in Philadelphia, I was getting just basic channels provided by Metro Cable. Nothing big... just the networks, but I was ecstatic since I wasn't paying anything. Then, Comcast moved in, and it's been all downhill...

Pros: "Comcast" has less letters than "Montgomery Cable TV." Cons: Atrocious service; grainy images; escalating rates; and unexplained outages.
When Montgomery Cable TV provided the service for the County, one could look forward to poor customer service, ever-escalating rates, grainy images, and outages whenever it rained or an inebriated starling chanced to fly over. Now that Comcast has the...

Pros: They do answer the phone Cons: Then they lie to you
I know one of Comcast's reps, and she says they are told to lie, play dumb, and misrepresent the contract all the way to when you sign up - and if they don't, they will be fired by the supervisor monitoring the calls.Even on the chat line (in ...

Pros: Initially great service when you first sign up. Afterwards, they really won't treat you great. Cons: Mediocre service and incompetent customer representatives.
We recently transferred to a new residence and had an appointment on Tuesday to have our service transferred there. However, the signal could not be located by Comcast, so the earlier appointment time was SUNDAY 8-11am for someone to come out and take a ...

Pros: Good treatment when you pay on time. Cons: Be late with your payment and apparently you open yourself up for verbal abuse.
I just want folks to know how horribly I was treated by Comcast's Customer Service department. If you order alot of pay channels they treat you as if you are special, but if you get behind on your bill, they feel that they are allowed to tell you that you ...
