Pros: None. Cons: Poor service, poor customer support, high prices.
Comcast took over cable services (both TV and cable modem) in this area several months ago. I didn't have any choice about the cable modem, but I'd heard good things about Comcast and so decided to also switch from DirecTV to Comcast's "digital cable". ...

Pros: TV, Internet, Phone, OK. No major issues, yet. Cons: Customer service, billing, etc, are absolutely terrible.
The TV, Internet, and Phone has actually been fine, mostly. The problem is that the company is so disjointed and disorganized that when something goes wrong, it goes really, really wrong. Our TV (with cable card) was stolen over 3 years ...

Pros: None. Cons: Continual lies and misrepresentations from Comcast service representatives.
In August 2009, I used the Comcast.com website to initiate what was represented as a 'service transfer' since I was moving from one town to another within the same state. I entered all of the information about the date of my move, etc. Three days ...

Pros: Comcast is good, providing you are city, not rural. They also like giving competitors customers. Cons: This limits our town's ability to get fair and equitable access to television services.
I live in Bowdoin Maine and we have a town contract with Comcast. As the contract states, Comcast will supply cable t.v. to areas with at least 19 houses per mile. Which is o.k., in the city. But most of Bowdoin is rural and houses are ...

Pros: Equipment fits nicely into a recently emptied DirecTV box for the trip back to Comcast Cons: Antiquated DVR hardware, poor software, spotty signal, customer service is poorly organized and trained.
I was a comcast digital customer who decided to upgrade to hid-def dvr. These are just a few of the ways comcast blew it.1. No delivery of equipment. 2. Comcast phone rep sent me to a specific field office (near home not work) to get HD ...

Pros: Finally outfitted our seaside town for HSI in '03. Must have in this area. Cons: Expensive quasi-monopoly. Annual price increases. Poor support. Difficult to get credit for frequent outages.
Comcast has owned our only local cable provider for about five years, having previously been AT&T, Adelphia, and TCI. Comcast is doing some battle now to try to stop New Jersey from changing its 1980's era cable legislation. They fear Verizon and ...

Pros: Decent channel selection, um, hmmm. Nope that's about it. Cons: Frequent outages and rate hikes. Unreliable customer service. Oh, and did I mention outages?
Here follows a somewhat tedious account of my personal experience with Comcast in the DFW market. I have tried to keep this as brief as possible, but with so many problems in such a short time, I feel compelled to spell it all out. The ...

Pros: Cable and internet service bundled Cons: Really Terrible service - only use them because I have to
Recently we moved to Los Angeles. After days of trying to figue out which cable company services our area (not an easy job) it was determined that COMCAST had the service contract. We had to call literally every cable company in the yellow pages to find ...

Pros: Nope; Strictly Amateur Night Cons: Incorrect billing, poor reception, ghastly customer service.
I have lived in Central Maryland for many years, and Comcast is our monopoly cable provider. Frankly, TV doesn't have a lot of appeal to me...my wife and I watch the BBC channel, local news, and the Weather Channel. Very rarely, we will watch an old...

Pros: ??? Cons: very poor customer service
I recently had an extremely poor experience with Comcast. I accidently let the cable bill slip through the cracks. Very dumb mistake. I'm a single mom and I work 13 hour days, and it was due to an oversight - I thought I'd paid it. So, the cable was...
