Pros: quality and selection Cons: long time coming
We have had digital service from Time Warner for about two months and we love the quality and selection of programing the only thing that would make it better is if they would pick up the SCI-fi network. It's about time that our only choice for cable...

Pros: on time service gaurantee. I've gotten at least 4 twenty dollar credits. Cons: service is not worth the money.
Time Warner Cable is not worth the money. The service is off more than it is on.The only reason we keep it is because you can not get reception without it. Customer service isn't much better. In my former state a 24 hour number was implemented. The line...

Pros: The Good ... Time Warner has a large selection to choose from. Cons: The Bad .... The package makeup selections are theirs not yours.
Time Warner has a "lock" on much of the cable market, they have moved into areas by buying out many smaller established systems. Usually these areas are ones that do not have a location that allows satisfactory use of an antenna for reception....

Pros: can get cable in every room, price is satisfactory Cons: ever changing costs
I have had a positive experience with Time Warner Cable. Our rates just increased for the digital cable in my area ($4), but the value is still better than satellite and my reception has not gone out one time!
The installation process was...

Pros: distortion, disruptions Cons: price, sometimes clarity, price
We have Time Warner Cable. It really sucks. We had Comcast before we moved and let me tell you it was much better. The prices were much lower.
It was 1997 and we lived in Kentucky, we paid under $60 for everything on cable, I mean all premium...

Pros: Better service now and customer help Cons: Prices are always a con
Well the truth is out there if you look for it. I started out with Warner but switched to Americast and had it for about a year.
Then "from the grapevine" I heard Warner was loosing some major buisness because of poor service and low...

Pros: cheap Cons: unsure, uneducated, unorganized
Previous Epinion:
I am a huge fan of Comedy Central and we haven't had it in our small town. About two years or so I was told we would have it by the end of the year. Well, two years later, I'm still without my daily dosage of "Kids in the...

Pros: Excellent selection & customer service. Cons: Price
I have had the opportunity to live in several cities. I have had cable tv service in all of them. Time Warner here in the Akron/Canton region of Ohio has been the best ever. Their selection of channels are among some of the best on the market in my...

Awful Customer Service
by asdf1234asdf ,Nov 15 '06
Pros: Picture quality Cons: Time Warner doesn't know the meaning of Customer Service
Everything else is fine, But there Customer Service is sorely lacking. It just doesn't exist. I guess that's to be expected with a monopoly. When I think of Time Warner and Customer Service in the same thought I think of words like atrocious and disgusting. I could write more but why? I'm sure those of you who have had to deal with Time Warner feel the same

Crappy, sucky Service
by tully823 ,Jan 04 '07
Pros: mostly good reception Cons: customer service/price
I have called TWC 4 times in the last 3 months and been on hold with their customer service department anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour plus. It does not matter what time of day you call, you will be on hold. My cable bill is now $70/month and I do not have premium channels. Nothing has changed or gotten better with my service, but the bill has gone up $10 every year since I signed up and it is now gone up another $5 for a "mid-year" evaluation. If you have their service, cancel it.
After writing this review, I went to my County's website where I submitted a detailed report. I got a letter 2 days later that was a carbon copy of a letter they sent to TW. I was then contacted by an actual person at TW. She did a thorough job researching my issues and got back with me that day.
Positive: I was impressed by this response both by the government website and Time Warner.
Negative: It feels a bit extreme that I had to go through all of that effort to find someone who did not placate my situation.

TW Road Runner ... don't get it!
by plester613 ,Dec 23 '04
Pros: Great intro price. High speeds (when available) Cons: Horrible service when there is a problem. Long delays.
After having high speed internet service provided by Bell South, Comcast cable, and Time Warner, I can say that Time Warner is the absolute worst. In approximately 45 days of "service" we have had 2 - 7 day outages, several times when the internet service was slower than dialup, and a period of time when we couldn't stay connected longer than about 20 minutes.
To make matters worse, the customer service department, although very polite, have no ability to do anything. During my last outage, which just ended TODAY (7 days), I called them nearly every day to complain. They told me that it would be repaired by the 28th. I told them that I'd get DSL yesterday, and like magic, today the service has been restored. This is the second time that it has happened like that.
Stay as far away from TW as you can. They just don't care.

Time Warner=Time Wasted
by pnotturno ,Feb 13 '08
Pros: Hmmm...I'm thinking. Cons: Ridiculous support.
Time Warner is fine provided everything is running OK. Good luck if you have to call support. I've been trying for 2 months to get my HDTV up and running and so far all I've been giving is the run around. A tech was supposed to come over this afternoon between 2&4 and never showed up. No call, nothing. I've waited around before only to have the guy show up with no cable boxes and then had to wait a month to get one. If you need service you better be very patient and able to jump through hoops in a single bound.

Good but Expensive
by vcbeautygirl ,Apr 29 '08
Pros: Reputation Cons: cost
Time Warner overall is an okay company. My boyfriend and I have them for digital cable and roadrunner, which the services are ok...but it is expensive! We pay at the least $125.00 per month, and we DON't rent the movied from Time Warner. While the service is ok, we have gone through 3 digital cable boxes and 4 modems for various reasons--which is probably one of the biggest negatives other than price. But where we live, time warner (when we moved here) was the only company that offered digital cable.

Awful service
by kbbobo ,Jun 05 '07
Pros: Phone operators were civil, they said they would waive the installation fee of $29.00 Cons: Lousy followup, lousy service
They were supposed to come out yesterday for HDTV. The appointment was between 9 and 12. I called around 1. They said they'd find out what was up and call me back. No call. I called back around 4. The person was checking it out and the line went dead. I called back right away. The next person tried to check it out. I was on the line for over 20 minutes. Finally I had to leave so she said they would call me back. They never came and never called back. I used to own a business. This is incredibly poor customer service but probably typical for many large corporations and other businesses.
