The No Good, The Bad, The Worse

Cons: Bad signals, terrible customer service, terrible prices, they just don't care about the customer
Mergers do not make a company or service better, just worse service for the same high prices. The HD signals are inconsistent. The worse is late night, when they actually disconnect all the HD channels for whatever. During bad weather, your overall signal sucks. The customer service is terrible. You're always on hold. And, when you do get connected, you get disconnected in a transfer, and get put on hold afer you call back. If you didn't get disconnected in a transfer, you get put on hold after the transfer. If you try to disconnect your service, you automatically get disconnected and forced to call back in, and put on hold. I moved to DirecTV, at least they seem to care about giving you good service and a cheaper price. Not to mention the signal is always better.

Inconsistent service and rude customer service

Pros: Fast internet...when it is working.
Cons: Unreliable service, long waits for repair, rude customer service, and expensive prices.
Our cable AND internet have gone out FOUR times in FOUR months. When we have requested repair service, we have been made to wait up to one week, and they give assigned times during which you must be at home, such as 8am to 8pm, which means each time we are forced to take a day off of work. Customer service is touch and go...I have waited 45 minutes on the phone just to speak to someone. It is not worth the $100 a month for service that breaks on a monthly service and customer service that is not at all accommodating.

A very brief description of my very brief experience.

Pros: I never had a chance to experience any pros.
Cons: Three appointments for installation, three no-shows.
I waited for 2 weeks for my first installation appointment. On the day of the appointment (a four hour window between 8 AM-12 PM) I waited...and waited...I called several times to make sure they were really coming, they told me "yes," but the installer never showed up. I made another appointment -- the first available -- another two weeks hence. Nobody showed. I scheduled a third installation, on a Saturday. I waited all morning and then got a call, minutes before the end of the four-hour window, to say they were running late and would have to reschedule. I gave up and went with another provider.

CANT STAND

I use to be with Adelphia in my local area. I loved them, but they sold to Time Warner. Now I am miserable. I got 1200 channels and not only that, my channels 16 - 80 reapeat - TWICE. So I have 3 TNT's, 3 USA's, 3 SPIKES's, 3 FOOD TV's and so on. I asked if there is a way to skip over them they said no. I also have HBO and Sowtime but Cinemax is in between. There is no way of skipping them when scrolling and chaning channels. They are terrible at customer service and offer terrible service. Not only that, I have my internet with them and I can only use it 1/2 the day because the other time it drags like dial up or i just cant get online at all.

I have NO OTHER choices what so ever. I really want to get another carrier in here --- someone have any suggestions on what to do? Get a petition going or what

TIME WARNER IS THE WORST

Cons: EVERYTHING
I write this as I am now sitting for the 3rd day waiting on someone so show up to fix my cable which has been out for the last 12 Days. So far they are already 2 hours over the window for today. The never even showed the first 2 times

This is by far the worst ran company I have ever had an experience with. If you want HORRIBLE service and a company that does not give one cent about you then Time Warner is perfect.

I am military member, always pay via autopay, as I deployed. I called and changed my services w/ timewarner (to min service) while I was deployed. the automatic biling was not conducted by TW and i was charged months of late fees and then disconnected. no mail was recv'd as the customer service rep that took my information for the service change, didn't put in the change of address. I called when I got the notice of disconnected services and gave them dates, names, actions complete and the collections department refused to change their position. they also refused to transfer me to supervisor. i called regular number and the c/s rep stated they had no proof i had ever called -- but then she read back the notes on my account, with the transfer from regular service to seasonal (min) service. they disconnected my services -- i paid my bill with fees because they would not remove them. i can not recommend TW cable.

SoCal Don't get Time Warner if you need Reliable Phone Service! ! ;(

Pros: DSL is faster but stand alone is $35
Cons: customer service, installation, pricing, quality!
I got rid of Verizon phone, DSL service and Dishnetwork.
Thought I would save some money on bundling all my services (phone, DSL and TV) with Time Warner Cable. What a mistake! The phone service was out for 3 hours for no reason and after spending 20 minutes on hold with our cell we were told that it was not only our service that was out, but several others. The "digital" cable only seems to work on some channels. They routed me through to a local sub-contractor to price out all that I wanted and had previously (2 DVRs, 2 seperate phone lines, DSL) and when installation was finally set up for 1 month later (to allow time to 'port' over the phone lines) the pricing that was quoted and promised was increased at the installation! They will not give you the contact information to the person who promised you the original price! My old DSL from Verizon was only $18, each part (phone, DSL, or cable) uses a different company to install or repair! Stay away!!

Better not having cable at all than dealing with Time Warner

Pros: I really can't think of anything positive
Cons: Slow service, rude employees, frustrating response
Dealing with their rude employees, pathetic customer service, slow response, eternal holds on the phone and intermittent service is pretty much one of the most excruciating experiences I've ever had. Avoid at all cost.

Cons: I hate time warner, I would not recommend them to anyone. Please beware
Time Warner has the #1 worst customer service in the world.

I just wanted to put this out.

I have been on the phone for 3 hours and no one can even find my account.

I have had service for 4 months and paid my bill, but I am told I do not have an accoutn number

I am disgusted, I can't even cancel my service because no on can find an account.

I spend 80-90 dollar a month and I apparently don't even have an account.

Cons: Goes out once in a blue moon
I subscribe to standard (not digital) cable and road runner internet. I have been satisfied with both. Whenever I have any problems with service, they come out and fix it. Recently I had some low signal problems for my internet, and they came out and replaced the line to my house and haven't had a problem since.

Where's the HD content? What's up with the channel lineup?

Cons: HD and On Demand Content
Why does TWCNYC have fewer HD channels than its competitors serving the 'burbs? Where's HD On Demand? MHD?

And what the heck are those non-HD channels (NBC+, WABC+, etc) doing in the 700's?


Why are some channels repeated in the 1900's?


Where's SciFi, CBS, and NBC On Demand?


My parents and friends in the 'burbs have Comcast. When I visit them, I've seen much more content!

NYC is the premier city in the world. We deserve a premier cable company!

SAN DIEGO TIME WARNER CABLE

Pros: THEY WERE GOOD WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED
Cons: THEY ARE THE WORST IN TECH SUPPORT
I have never had such incredibly the worst customer service like have with TIME WARNER CABLE IN SAN DIEGO.

I have had issues since Monday 24 March 2008 spend over an hour on the phone with 6 different "TECH SUPPORT" people and dealt with 2 online chats with 2 technician with no solution.

My advise is if there are any other cable companies besides TIME WARNER CABLE use them first they have to be better than TIME WARNER IN SAN DIEGO

When I was in the Middle East for 10 months I swear I had better cable service, better customer support and the workers shown more pride and work ethic in taking care of their customers than TIME WARNER SAN DIEGO!!!

FOR ALL OF YOU IN SAN DIEGO THAT WANT CABLE SERVICE STAY AWAY FROM TIME WARNER CABLE

Dumbest company ever

Cons: Poor customer service with long waits and irritating music.
I signed up for Time Warner's high speed cable service. I wanted this service in the name of my girlfriend. Along the way Time Warner goofed up and opened the service in my name instead. I politely called up and asked for the name on the account to be changed. I was told (after the call got switched between 6 different people with a ten minute gap between each switch)that the only way I could do that was to sign up a form with my girlfriend's social security # on it with a proof of address attached.

The other way to change the name on the account was to disconnect the service and sign up for a new service. Its not an inconvenience just for me. Its also an inconvenience for Time Warner because they had to send someone to pick up the modem and send him back again the next day to give me a new modem.

I have sold my Time Warner stock since.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE

Cons: Worst service I ever had to deal with.
I thought I would save some money by switching from AT&T DSL to cable internet with VOIP telephone service. What a mistake! TWC failed to show up for 3 separate appointments. It took several weeks to finally have my services connected. In addition, they disconnected my television from the roof antenna and said I would have to order "Basic Broadcast" with them if I wanted my reception back. Every time I try to contact Customer Service, I am on hold for at least 30 minutes. I had AT&T for over 5 years without a single glitch.

HDTV and DVR terrible

Since 12/04 it is now 04/05 and I have had Time Warner HDTV and DVR and it has not worked with out picture and sound issues reoccuring every time I watch. I have had 8 trouble calls, 5 new DVRs and 4 escalations of service calls, and it still does not work. The picture breaks up while watching both regular definition an HD shows, the sound drops out, and this is supposed to be HD?
