Oracle iExpenses

Pros: easy to use, efficient, and fast repayment.
Cons: none

Before iExpenses I was getting frustrated with the rigorous process of writing up an expense claim and then having it manually go through the review, approval and then the AP stage. Some times I would even incurred interest on my OWN credit card as a result of the inefficient process.

Now I have been using iExpenses for about 4 months and I think it is the something that I now cannot live without. It is easy to use, efficient, and fast repayment.

Pros: Very easy to use; relatively cheaply maintained; staff get paid sooner.
Cons: Only a real option if you are already using Oracle e-business suite

This is a very user friendly module to use. Which allows electronic claiming of expenses.

It is a relatively easy module to configure.

The claimant uses Self Service, i-expenses module to claim their expenses, based on the businesses expenses policy, which are set up as a template e.g. business mileage 40 pence a mile, overnight allowance £5 (incidentals) etc.

Once the claim is completed it is routed electronically (using a process called workflow) to the Approver to electronically approve.

The original receipts are kept for inland revenue purposes by either the individual claiming the expenses or his Manager or centrally; depending on company policy.
