Pros: Free miles when you're buying stuff you need Cons: Hidden clauses; yearly fee
When I heard about the Chase Continental Airlines Debit Card, I thought "Great! Now I can gain something while spending money!" So, I called Chase and asked them for the details. The yearly fee is $59.99 and I will gain 1 CAL mile for every...
Pros: Good Service & Loads of Miles Cons: Not Free
I have been a Continental OnePass Credit Card member for several years now. It pays off with loads of free travel. OnePass, regularly recognized as the best frequent flyer program provides the reward travel earned through this credit card. The miles are...
Pros: Basic credit card, no problem to use. Cons: Reward miles are impossible to use.
The Chase Continental Airlines credit card looks good as advertised: earn 1 Continental One Pass mile for every dollar charged to the card. I've had this card for years and, true, the miles piled up. I eventually earned over 130,000 miles using this ...
Pros: Good sign-up bonus. "Prestige pack" offered by Continental. Cons: High interest rate and $ 45 fee,as is the case with ALL airline cards.
I have had this card for 8 months now. They give you 3,000 OnePass miles a a bonus, and then also the option of buying the "Prestigepack" from Continental for $ 99.99, which includes 7,500 miles, a discount certificate, a certificate for a $ 99 Companion...
Pros: Wide acceptance, customer service, no problem with mile transfer Cons: High interest rate and annual fee, but that's standard
I signed up for a Chase Platinum Continental VISA over a year and a half ago. I must admit, it's not my primary card of choice (I like the flexibility that Amex has with its miles), but I do use it frequently as a backup when I can't use Amex. I've...
Pros: Reasonable web site. In past, generally courteous and efficient customer service. Cons: Surprising arrogance and insensitivity. Probable cause for class action suit. Frustrating inconsistency.
Last month, Chase was kind enough to unilaterally offer to 'upgrade' my account to their new "Continental World MasterCard". The upgrade entailed raising my annual fee by $20 and assigning me a new account number, requiring me to spend hours and contact ...
Pros: none that I can think of Cons: the are stealing your hard earned cash legally
Well, I am amazed at the titles of some of the opinions about the Chase Manhattan credit card. I have found them to be MUCH too HIGH on their interest rates consistently. I hope all you people that are loving your Chase card have done your home work...
Stay Away From This Card!!! by louise666 ,Mar 25 '05
Pros: none Cons: Horrible, incompetent customer service
This credit card had horrible service. I had the card for several years when I noticed that CHASE stopped crediting my monthly mileage to Continental One Pass. I called CHASE every month and they kept promising that the problem was fixed, but yet every month, the milege was not credited.
Bottom line: It took CHASE 11 months to finally resolve the problem at which time I closed the account.
Terrible Customer Service by hanuman67 ,Nov 24 '08
Pros: Miles on Continental. CDW. Cons: High annual fee and poor service.
It's not free, the Continental One Pass program is no longer what it used to be and miles are worth less and less. The Chase Customer Service is also frustratingly tedius and inept. Just spent the better part of a half hour to ask one question about CDW coverage and was slotted to several different people, asked my card number about 10 times, disconnected twice, sent to the wrong person twice, and never got my question answered.
Called American Express. First person I talked with answered my question.
