Pros: More free tickets than any other card! Cons: 2nd year annual fee
Southwest has what I feel is the best frequent flyer program in the industry. While they don't offer any upgrades, no first class, no elite status, they do offer the most free flights for a given amount of travel (or in this case Credit Card...
Pros: Quickest miles around. low annual fee of $25.00 Cons: Not an extensive network of flight options.
I've carried the Southwest card for 3 years and my wife has her own. During that period, we have
earned enough points to travel to San Francisco, Dallas, Miami, Las Vegas and I've got two tickets to paradise in my pocket. True once you earn a...
Pros: Easy website to use Cons: You pay more to use their credit card & they make money on the charges.
We have always seen the commercials for SWA on tv. We were interested in their fares and their rewards structure. Since my husband travels a lot for work, it initially made sense to get this card for free airfare. I've had 3 different Southwest cards ...
Pros: Low fee, great reward, great service Cons: none
This card is great. You get a year free plus 4 flight credits for signing up. The card offers a relatively low monthly fee (compared with other airline reward cards). The card offers good benefits if you fly Southwest often (for ever $1000 spent you...
Telephone Customer Service the pits by ytd55555 ,Jul 02 '04
Pros: Nice looking card Cons: Telephone and online customer service
The telephone customer service operators for the Southwest Visa provide incorrect information at least 50% of the time. I found myself, calling and re-calling them to get the the same information and to make the same changes - they never got around to changing my address. They don't seem to be able to get it right the first time. For example, their pending charges often overlap with posted charges - when I ask them to itemize the pending charges over the phone I get "attitude" and I later find out that the itemization was incorrect. Sometimes I feel that their telephone service operators simply don't care.
Customer service was very bad by digiband ,Jan 15 '05
Pros: N/A in this case Cons: Treated poorly by customer service.
I love southwest, but FirstUSA/BankOne really got me mad. We signed up for the Southwest Visa with the understanding that it had no annual fee. We received the cards and notice of the fee, so we didn't activate the cards. They called to see why we didn't activate, and I told them I wished to cancel the cards at that time. 30 days later we receive a bill for the annual fee and $15 late charge.
I called customer service to remind them we canceled, they had no record of the cancellation and that we must pay the fee and late charge. After tell them we wished to cancel, had not activated the cards, and that we wouldn't be paying the annual fee, I was informed that within 30 days they would report the bad debt to credit reporting agencies.
