Pros: I can't think of any. Cons: Outrageous fees.
Its always nice to get something pre-approved in the mail, right? You dont have to accept it, of course, but its nice to know youve been approved for something. Nobody likes to be declined, after all, so whats better ...
Pros: If you have really atrocious credit, Aspire may sponsor you for a card. Cons: You will pay up to 41.5% APR for the privilege, AND have to deal with rude customer service personnel.
You know the call. It’s someone who speaks so rapidly that you’re not even sure they’re speaking English. They whiz you through the presentation so speedily that you dizzily say, “Why not?” even though you’re not that excited by the offer.
There is nothing positive I can say about Aspire. They purchased my account from Discover (much to my dismay). I have been paying off debt to them and it takes forever because of their outrageous fees. My fees started at 26.99% at the beginning of the ...
Pros: Card is OK while you follow their rules. Cons: Horrible customer service if needed.
I acquired this card in 2003 with a 15% interest rate and a $5000 limit. It has risen to 19.75% as the prime rate has moved up. I actually did not have any bad experiences until now. I paid the minimum or more for over three years - no extra fees, no ...
Pros: They reported monthly to the CRA (Credit Reporting Agencies) and it was always correct. Cons: Customer service, interest rate, the whole company.
I became a customer of Aspire in 2000 (I believe that is the year) when they bought out my Bravo account from Novus (Discover). I was carrying a balance that I couldn't pay off so I was forced to accept this conversion. First, this is a sub prime ...
Pros: This company listened to their customers and made real improvements. They established a REAL website. Cons: The 1st level customer service personnel's English are not too good; don't allow balance transfers.
Maybe others can profit from my experience with Aspire customer service. I have experience working in customer service myself, and the first thing I do, and I have done it before with Aspire, if I have trouble with a foreign agent not understanding what ...
Pros: It's easy to get one Cons: They're out to rip you off!
I was young and stupid, and signed up for an Aspire Visa card. I actually got a Gold card with $6000 credit limit, even though I was a student and making less than $3000 a year! Note that the APR was 25%, of course at that time I didn't even have a...
If you're looking for a card to start your credit history, avoid this one like the plague! It doesn't matter, good credit or bad, this is NOT a card you want to get!
The annual fee is one of the highest we've ever seen in a card, and that's a...
Pros: Easy to get. Cons: Very high interest rate, anywhere from 28.75% to 45.71%
I would not recommend this card to anyone trying to get good credit. Currently I am over my limit by about $300 and that is all from interest rates and charges that tack on. If you are over your limit you will be charged $35 for each time you are over....
There is nothing positive I can say about Aspire. They purchased my account from Discover (much to my dismay). I have been paying off debt to them and it takes forever because of their outrageous fees.
Pros: None. Cons: Don't let this company get into wallet.
This card will drained my wallet faster than gas price going up. The fees they charge are a nightmare. Every month my APR was 36.00%, plus the yearly fee of 85.00 just to keep the card. Also the fact they even charge 4.95 if you pay your bill through their website. Or 14.95 if you pay by phone. How ridiculous. Lucky I'm no longer a card member but I lost a lot of money in the long run.
This is the absolute worst credit card company I have ever come across. Initially gave me a $2,000 dollar limit, but reduced it to $300 when I didn't use their card. I decided to use their card for a small purchase ($25 dollars or something like that). I paid off the balance, but the next statement said I owed another $1.90. It was a small amount so I just paid it before the due date. They charged me a $35 late-payment fee anyway. When I called to dispute the fee, I find that you can't actually talk to anybody human. You go through FOUR automated menus before learning that any questions that would be considered normal in banking have to be dealt with in a letter. I'm writing the Georgia State Department of Consumer Affairs, but since our corrupt political process is driven by the money provided by corrupt business practices, I don't have much hope.

Pros: None what so ever. Cons: anything and everything you can think of. They have it all!!!
This Company has the worst "Customer Service" ever. Don't expect to get any help. They don't speak english. They don't listen. Don't even think about talking to a supervisor or the supervisors, supervisor. You will only go away feeling frustrated and angry. They give you the run around. Think twice before opening an account with this company!!!!!
Pros: NONE DONT USE DONT GET DONT GET CAUGHT IN THERE FEES THAT WONT STOP Cons: RIP OFF OF THE CONSUMERS .
They closed my account but still charge a monthly account maintenance fee. They sent a letter stating if you paid a certain amount you would get a credit for another part but they dont tell you have to pay interest on that amount till its credit is applied, so there is no real way to pay this account off. It will go forever. Dont get this card or deal with this company. what a rip off
