Do not even think of using this credit card. They will be on you like a hawk for one small infraction. I am deaf and there is not way I can "talk" to them. They refuse to allow my interpreters to speak for me. They don't have a TTY number I can call and communicate myself. Yet they harass me with frequent TTY calls to my home!!! (Messages left on my machine, letters, postcards, etc. All with "happy notes" about "calling for an exciting opportunity!") Obviously very one-sided. I can't get simple information from them. Their call center is in India. What a nightmare. Don't fall into this trap!!!

I have had an Aspire Visa for over 10 years.  Please take my advice and do not apply for this card.  I have not charged on the card for about 6 years, and have made only minimum payments per month up until July (6 months ago.)  I have since made over $1000.00 in payments and am trying desperately to pay it off.  Although I have made big payments, my balance has barely moved because they have closed my account and raised my rate to over 30%.  They will not lower it because "My account has been closed."  The account was closed in October.  I would like to see this company get theirs!!!  Please respond

I applied when I received application in the mail. I received a Visa card and paid every month. I recently noticed that I was not receiving in available credit balances after making payments that lowered my balance owed. I inquired and was told that it would be showing in three days. When I inquired again, I was told that me account had be closed. They told me that it was because my mail had been return. Yet, I had received a statement at my mailing address on November 4th. In addition they had my new mailing address.

When I inquired again they said that my mail was being sent back. That is not true. When I asked why I had not been told by Customer Service when I called in-I was told that you did ask. You can't ask when you don't know. I had been making payments on my account from Sept, Oct, and Nov without receiving any credit for my available credit.

I would suggest that you be very care with your dealings with this Credit Card Bank. I plan to forward my concerns to Federal Trade Commission

I got this card because my "Visa Classic" account with Providian was bought by this company. They screwed up the transition by not telling me anything about it until a week after the Providian card was canceled and a new "Aspire" gold card showed up in the mail.

I was on Vacation on concerned because my Providian card would not go through. I called them and found out the "new cards were late going out."

Even worse, since I was in Florida (I live in NJ) I called from my in-laws house. They must keep every number you call them from. Two months later when I was literally 6 days late with a payment they called me at home while I was at work and then called my in-laws in Florida looking for me. This is just outrageous.

Even more insulting is the $12.00 service charge they levy on top of outrageous interest rates to if you pay your bill on-line.

This company should be investigated.

My wife had her Providian card transferred to aspire. Subsequently she got a great deal on a balance transfer from discover and we closed this card or should I say we are trying to close this card.

They charge $15.00 to make on line payments. This is a ripoff
She called and cancelled the card and they said we would need to fax a request to recive the amount back that we overpaid. (btw sears if you overpay your balance will automatically cut you a check)
Two weeks have passes I sent another letter and still have not heard from this company.
