Pros: none. Cons: They freeze you account and force you to call in.
I have primarily had bad experiences with citibank. In fact, I can't think of any good experiences I had with them. Several years ago, I had booked a hotel through them, and although I only stayed at the hotel for one night, the hotel charged me for 2. ...

Pros: promises Cons: customer service, requirements
I have had two credit cards in my lifetime: BankofAmerica and Capitol One. Cap One has been the best to me, so far, in my small amount of card usage (seven years.) Bank of America I cancelled solely because they charged undisclosed fees when I used my ...

Pros: Customer Service.
% and %+ cash back on regular purchases.
Cons: If you carry a balance, the fees can get quite large.
I've had many credit cards over the years, but this one has always given me the best service and options. I got it right out of college and it's been nothing but a smooth ride for twenty years. I carry other cards at the moment, but this is the only one ...

Pros: none Cons: high APR, poor customer service, won't work with you
I've been a good-standing Citibank credit card customer since 2002. I opened my card as a college student, and at the time my interest rate was around 10%. It has since been raised a few times, with no given reason. Just got a notice in the mail that ...

Pros: American Airlines awards Cons: The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
This is a letter that I wrote to S. Larson: Dear Mr/Mrs S. Larson, I was quite bereft having read your break-up letter to me. After all, weve had a relationship for nearly twenty years. Admittedly, I too have been seeing the folks over ...

Pros: I can't think of any. Really. They are awful. Cons: Late fees that are huge!
Citibank is terrible. They don't have an auto-pay option for their cards and that can result in late fees if you have a busy lifestyle (as I do). The minimum fee I have been charged for being late was $39. Hello usury. Now take a guess at how late I was? ...

Pros: Widely accepted, nice online account access, cash rewards Cons: Very poor customer service, time-consuming dispute process where the burden is placed on the customer
This review is based on my experiences with the Citibank Platinum Mastercard Cash Reward card. I initially signed up for this credit card since I needed a MC/Visa card since many places don't take American Express. I've now had the card for over 3 ...

Pros: Online account management (when you're not locked out of it for "security threats") is good Cons: They treat their customers like idiots; they're more concerned with fraud protection than functionality
Citibank’s marketing their “early warning fraud alerts” as if they’re making our lives better by blocking transactions on our credit cards is insulting to its customers. I’ve been at a gas station, with no cell phone, at 3a.m. with a sleeping baby in ...

Pros: concierge feature Cons: rebates do not post to account, rebate checks have $50 minimum.
Recently, I received a notice in the mail that my Citibank Dividend Select Mastercard was being upgraded to the New Dividend World Mastercard. The best features on the card now are: 1. Personal concierge service – 24/7 assistance with dinner ...

Pros: I guess the rewards program Cons: Customer service
I have had my Citi credit card for 4 years now, and never had a problem until recently. They were charging me $20 a month for the Credit Protector program, when I had called 3 times telling them to take it off my account. Well, last month this $20 put me ...

Pros: Good interface with Quicken. Cons: Disloyalty to good customers.
After 15 years with a Visa CitiCard with no late payments ever, I received an unpleasant surprise when a purchase at the grocery store was refused. When I called the customer service I was told that I had exceeded my credit limit. I pointed out that my ...

Pros: Fair APR's, no annual fees, low-rate balance transfer offers, rewards programs, friendly customer service. Cons: Must abide by their repayment terms or they will raise rates and charge fees.
I have had an account with Citibank since 1996 and they have proven themselves as very fair-minded creditors. I would suggest that if you really don't need a credit card, then don't apply for one. However, if you do need one to build your credit or for ...

Pros: Big (known) name Cons: Bad customer service, too much solicitation by mail for additional accounts
I haven't had any problems previously with Citibank, until this one. I had a billing issue (I attempted to pay off my balance in full then received a bill the next month for finance charges, I paid that and then received a .50 bill the next month) and ...

Pros: Large cash rebates, flexible website, virtual account numbers. Cons: $300 annual limit on cash rebates, quirky Autopay system, poor website integration.
When it comes to getting a Citibank credit card, keep in mind that not all cards are equal. There are a variety of cards with different terms and conditions. My particular card is the Citibank Dividend Platinum Select. This card has no annual fee, ...

Pros: great cash back reward program Cons: zilch
After reading some of these reviews which state that they have no rewards, I am a bit confused because my Citi Platinum Dividends cards seems to have plenty of them. Are we all talking about the same card?? Anyway, read my review and then judge for ...
