Pros: Great customer service, lower interest rates, helps benefit the University of Hawaii Cons: well I guess even lower rates would be nice!!!!
I was at a University of Hawaii football game back in November of 1998 when I saw a booth to sign up for a MBNA card to support the University . I was a bit weary at first. I already had a few other credit cards and really didn't need one more. But as...

Pros: offers credit lines
account info available online Cons: customer service
interest
MBNA is my newest credit account. I was extended credit when I went to the gateway store online and purchase a laptop. I had no issue for the first few months. I knew that I didn't have the money and I would pay it off in such and such months (which I ...

Pros: Free card. But then again, a gazillion others these days are free. Cons: Chintzy rewards, terrible customer service. Practices that border on fraud.
I have had a Stanford MBNA card for many years and the customer service on this card is the worst I've ever experienced. Examples: - I was given erroneous information over the phone on the expiration date for my miles earned, and then the company ...

Pros: Online application, Intro package includes balance transfers, 800 number answered quickly and efficiently Cons: 3 week wait for an answer
I like to save money.
I selected MBNA America Card because I have about $8,300 in revolving debt and MBNA was offering a 5.9% rate for five months on Balance Transfers. The debt was currently at 5.9% at Discover, an intro rate that expires...

Pros: Reasonable Rates Cons: Terrible Service, Bureaucracy
I started using an MBNA Mastercard in 1998 because, at the time, they were working with my bank. The rates were good, there were no annual fees and the other fees were reasonable. The customer service agents were usually rather helpful on the phone...

Pros: Great Customer Service Cons: No Grace Period on Platinum Plus card.
I recently went online shopping for a great 'rewards' credit card; something that would give me free frequent flyer miles or some form of rebate. Eventually I came across the MBNA website [which was quite nice]
and saw the neat features for the MBNA...

Pros: For me, none--too many other cards available with better terms and service. Cons: Customer (dis)service, mediocre interest rate, poor online payment options
The short version-- Their customer service is the worst I've ever encountered. The "personal banking assistant" from customer service actually said that "This is a business and we're not here to make customer's happy." She was most displeased when I ...

Pros: low promotional rates Cons: pay off that balance as soon as you can!
I have had an MBNA card off and on for about 4 years. I usually use the card to transfer a high balance to a lower rate (5.9% or some other promotional offer) Then, when the promotional rate is over, I transfer it to another card offering a new low...

Pros: Sends credit card quick Cons: customer service, interest rates, false credit reporting
I had an MBNA line of credit when I purchased a Gateway laptop in January of 2000. I am very sorry I ever agreed to opening an account with them. Their interest rates when I last dealt with this creditor (in early 2002) was extremely high for a prime ...

Pros: Customer service, cash advance by phone. Cons: Higher rates than others.
I worked part time for MBNA as a telemarketer for a month. (Yeah, I was one of those.) It conflicted with my day job so I gave it up. Being one of the "people", MBNA doesn't have employees, I got some insight from the inside. While every card...

Pros: friendly service, organized Cons: unremarkable int. rate and rewards
My MBNA Mastercard is, without a doubt, my primary card of choice. MBNA does not charge an annual fee and they issue additional cards at no cost. The interest rate on this card is an unimpressive 12.5% (if they would get rid of these darn 1/2%, it...

Pros: No annual fee, customer service that will answer questions Cons: High interest rates
I have had an MBNA MasterCard for the last two years. I chose to get this as my first (and currently, only) credit card mainly because it had no annual fee and it was likely that I would be approved for it because it was sent to university students, of...

Pros: great customer service, awesome online access Cons: they don't automatically lower a fixed
rate card when the APR drops
On my 18th birthday I requested several Platinum cards online (seriously, I tried). Unfortunately, I had no credit history. I received rejection letters from all the companies.
A few weeks later I called MBNA and talked with an extremely...

Pros: low rates, good customer service Cons: could give more rewards
I have had many credit cards over the years and i have found the MBNA card to fit my situation the best.
MBNA started me out with a $10,000.00 credit limit and a low A.P.R.
Credit cards are not the best way to consolidate bills. MBNA gave me...

Pros: none that I can think of Cons: poor customer service high fees
When my husband and I bought out Gateway computer 1 year ago we financed it through MBNA. The payment due date was very close to the date which we get paid, and since I won't send out checks until our paycheck is in the bank, the payments were barely...
