Simmons 1st National= the old bait and switch routine!
by texasvic ,Jul 27 '09
Pros: None Cons: SLOW TO RESPOND, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, SLEAZY TACTICS!
Classic bait and switch scheme! We applied for a Simmons 1st National Bank credit card. Our FICO score is 820 - pretty much perfect credit, yet the very first thing we get from Simmons is get is this letter saying the recently enacted federal legislation made them have to change their fixed rate to a variable rate. We found it interesting that none of their current advertising mentions anything about this!
We asked our friends who told us about the card who had applied 2 months ago and they got the same "bait and switch" letter too.
DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE NEVER A GOOD SIGN! Current Simmons 1st National Bank customers - RUN THE OTHER WAY and get rid of it or be sure and check the fine print of what ever they send you!
