Pros: Friendly tellers, free checking Cons: Watch where your money goes
When I first moved to Pueblo I needed a bank so I could get direct deposit on my Social Surety check. I didn't really have time to shop around too much and US Bankcorp was really close to where I lived.
I didn't ask a lot of...

Pros: None, unless...nope, still none. Cons: Actually I'd trust a "con" more than U.S. Bank
Though the majority of my reviews have been positive, praising goods and services, I could not resist taking part in the "I Can't Believe I Bought This Piece of Junk" write-off. What better way to really get back into the swing of Epinions than having...

Pros: Good service, error-free banking Cons: I have no real complaints
A byproduct of a good economy is the conglomeration of smaller corporations into larger ones. As revenues increase, companies look to expand and bring in even more revenue.
I started off with Central Bank in 1990. It was a smaller bank in...

Pros: Cash back debit card, negative balance repayment program and checking account advance Cons: No stand alone branches, they use available balance when clearing items
U.S. Bank has been good to me. They opened an account for me when my former employer (a bank) where I had my account put me on ChexSystems for bogus reasons, I dont even owe them any money! But I digress, U.S. Bank opened an account for me with no ...

Pros: Plenty of conveniently located ATMs without fees Cons: Impossible to reach a real person without walking into a branch bank
If you really crave an impersonal, automated banking relationship, then you're the perfect customer for U.S. Bank. My husband and I ended up with a checking account at U.S. Bank by acquisition default.
In Omaha, we started with...

Pros: Branches inside stores open 7 days, online banking, no long waits to see a banker. Cons: Locations only in Midwest and West so far.
I have only been with U.S. Bank for three months, but feel that I've experienced enough of their service to write a review. Before ending my long association with WaMu (previously Home Savings of America), I began researching various banks. I ...

Pros: None. Cons: Horrendous customer service: failure to send promised forms to document fraudulent activity; uninformed CSRs.
Since August of this year, I have been at war with U.S. Bank over $1200 in fraudulent, unauthorized charges made in Europe to my daughter's Visa Buxx card (which has not left the United States this year). UPDATE: It has been 15 days since I have been ...

Pros: Fee-free banking, free visa atm/debit card, convenient online banking Cons: Minimum balance for an interest-bearing checking account is too high for me
I have been with US Bank for almost 6 years now. Well, actually, when I opened my account in 1995, it was still Colorado National Bank, and US Bancorp bought it about a year(?) later and changed the name. I was 16 when I opened my account, so I had to...

Pros: Checking that Pays, Free Interest Checking, Online Banking Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE, cruelty
US Bank is a huge bank that is in most states. They "promise" small-bank service, but simply cannot deliver. Here I will try to review US Bank as a whole or a "hole," and not just on my unusual experience.
US Bank is all over. You shouldn't...

Pros: The least evil of the empire Cons: Who's money am I spending?
I’ve been a US Bank customer for 7 years. I also was a customer of Bank of America and Wells Fargo. I think they are all evil, but so far US Bank is a little less evil than the others. The best feature (of course in my opinion), was the ability to get a...

Pros: They're everywhere. They've got an effective 'customer service' marketing campaign. Cons: They're everywhere. And their customer service is limited to their marketing campaign.
I signed on for the full meal deal: Checking, Savings, Home Equity, Online Banking, and the rest.
I really wanted online banking. I went at it with vigor, setting up all my accounts and, along with them, automatic payments.
My second month...

Pros: Worldperks Check Card, friendly service, free checking & savings Cons: Fewer locations than some banks
I am still a baby member of US Bank. I just switched over from TCF about 1-2 months ago now, but I couldn't take TCF. US Bank, thus far, has been a relief for me! I chose USB because they offer the Worldperks Check Card. Being an avid user of my check...

Pros: I like the clerks locally. Cons: Must have A+++ to get ANY credit here.
In 1994, I bought a truck and financed it through a local bank. This bank was bought once, but the payments went to the same place. Then the loans were sold to US Bank. We had been banking there for years before it became US Bank, and had no reason to...

Pros: Free checking Cons: Everything. They lie to you, and take money from you.
I first started with USBANK in 1997. It was my first credit card also. WHAT A JOKE!!!
At first it was good. Free checking, a credit card, and overdraft protection. Well then problems started. All of a sudden money was being charged on my Visa,...

Pros: none Cons: high fees, poor service
When I was a teenager, I got my first checking account. That bank got bought by a different bank, who go bought by a different bank, etc etc etc. I ended up with a checking account owned by US Bank.
Some of the services that they offered...
